about the artist

Lance Williams and True Worship is an emerging gospel ensemble with an avant-garde sound and a desire to present the clarion message of Jesus Christ to the world. Composed of twelve members ranging in age and life experiences, True Worship has an extraordinary ability to connect with people of all generations. With influences from Gospel greats such as Donnie McClurkin, Donald Lawrence and Richard Smallwood, Lance Williams and True Worship has an equivalent stalwart commitment to inspire people to experience worship that instills hope and brings healing to broken lives.

Formed by Lance Williams, this gifted ensemble of singers has remained faithful since their inception in 1992. Over the years, this group has continued to advance and surpass the expectations of many through their anointed sound, style and fortitude. Serving as director, vocalist, composer and praise & worship leader, Williams is one of the Gospel Industry's rising new artists. Under the spiritual covering of Bishop Liston Page, of the Highway Church in Paterson, NJ, Williams has a prevailing message that ushers listeners into the breathtaking presence of God.

Their debut release entitled "I Live to Love You" features the breakout hit "Another Chance," written by Williams followed by the title track "I Live to Love You," penned by prolific songwriter/producer and artist, Donald Lawrence. This Praise and Worship venture features an awesome blend of Gospel music, which inhabits an anointed experience of worship. Williams, a part of the new wave of praise and worship leaders, steps into the role of producer along with James Perry, Joe "Flip" Wilson, Danny Weatherspoon and Cedric Thompson.

This highly anticipated project features Jonathan Nelson, Nancy Jackson, and Sheri Jones-Moffett of "Donald Lawrence and the Tri-City Singers" and the gospel duo "Ted and Sheri," just to name a few. Over the years, Lance Williams and True Worship have shared their music ministry with millions around the world in Japan, Europe, France and the Caribbean as well as on the Word Network and Trinity Broadcasting Network(TBN). This ministry has been blessed to share the stage with gospel artists such as Donnie McClurkin, Kurt Carr, Donald Lawrence, CeCe Winans, Richard Smallwood, Yolanda Adams and Hezekiah Walker to name a few.

As a gift unto the Lord, the body of Christ and various communities, Lance Williams hosts the annual "True Worship Retreat" which is a Praise and Worship conference held in the state of New Jersey during the month of September. This forward thinking forum features national artists and industry leaders from across the country such as Kim Burrell, Walter Hawkins, Jazzy Jordan, Richard Smallwood, Tye Tribbett, Max Siegel, Joseph Burney, Donald Lawrence and a host of others.

Keynote speakers have included, Bishop Kenneth Moales, Sr., Bishop George Searight, Pastor Sheryl Brady and more. In addition, this conference highlights ministry and community leaders for their contributions to the betterment of the society in which we live in. With such a passion to touch the lives of all who experience this ministry, there can be no compromise to the fulfillment of this vision. What better way to celebrate freedom but through the Inspirational ministry of Lance Williams and True Worship?
