Although a native of Philadelphia, PA, Norahs has traveled and lived in the mid-west and the west coast of the United States. She has received an international embrace while performing her poetry in Japan. Norahs' vocal flare echoes throughout audiences via radio, cable TV, jazz clubs, schools, universities, churches, art galleries and the Internet. She has professionally performed with the accompaniaments of jazz musical talents of Byard Lancaster, Web Thomas, Keno Speller, Warren Oree of Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble, Lee Smith and most recent collaboration with the legendar Miles Jaye. "By Way of a Ray of Sunlight", book of poetry self published by Norahs is the motivation for her latest spoken word contribution on CD. Her passionate and romantic style of poetry originated in love letters she wrote n the mid 80s. After marriage and divorce, life happened. Soon Norahs' gift of expression blossomed into a growing collection of poetry and short stories, self published and released in volumes, "Diary of Written Expressions" 1991, "Captious Love" 1992, "Obstacles" 1994, "Approach... If You Dare" 1995 and "By Way of a Ray of Sunlight" 1997.
Presently, Norahs is working on her next book "Layers of Crinoline", an in depth reflection on abuse issues and steps to embrace self-empowerment.
