I personally at this moment do not own a gun but I don't know if I agree with the Reverend on this one. I think this should be the last thing we should be leading the charge to do is to dis-arm ourselves. I am more inclined to recommend teaching gun safety and target practice. The first thing done when they decided to enslave the negro was to go and collect all weapons. If you have a gun that does not work sell it so you can buy one that does.

It doesn't even trim the problem. Charlston Heston said "not from my cold dead hands", and you people are just gonna give up their "protection". I'm definitely against all violence especially gun violence, but there is a second amendment right and. a civic duty not to allow the government be greater than what it is. We need better paying employment and programs for these children, those are the task we should be focusing on.

i can feel where al sharton is coming from, im too a victim of losin my son to this crime. but if you really think about it , there is going to be crime other than using guns and if somebody is in gangs or want protection for there family in there home there not giving it up, and if its a thing of paying people to give up guns they may give up one firearm but have more. i pray that we seek God for wisdom to make right choices and incourage and pray for others do do right so we can be safer.i want to add may tje lord bless al shapton and his team for the dedication over the years and krrp them safe from all harm and there families etc.
