Addressing The "Black Men Abandon Their Children" myth.

Black men are commonly stereotyped as having a strong propensity to abandon their children. The term "abandon" seems to be a preferred term especially by the black female interracial bloggers as well as the so called "black female empowerment" bloggers. The problem is that evidence disputes this stereotype and shows that the source of the stereotype is more so a case of the failure of black men and black women to form stable relationships.

is it ABANDONMENT...or is it that black women will put you on CHILD SUPPORT even while you're still having sex with her?

The court system allows WOMEN not just black...to have full reign and control over the children. MAKING the male pay for it. and in RARE CASES women pay child support to the male..but only in rare cases where males have LAWYERS, or SOLID EVIDENCE of her being an unfit parent.....otherwise..AUTOMATI CALLY the male has topay up to 50% of his income without QUESTION of her testimony of him abandoning his kids. Most males cannot prove they have purchased anything because MOST males dont keep receipts...they simply give CASH or buy sh*t without keeping records....and this is what makes him look GUILTY.....but why should he have to prove his FATHERHOOD if she doesnt have to PROVE him a deabeat?

Long time no see.

It's sad but many women don't seem to care if the man is there and in the same breath accuse you of not being a father if you're not paying that court ordered amount or being fleeced by the courts.

what do you call a man or father when he cheats on his wife and when they divorce he may call and tell his children that he's coming to pick them up... but doesn't bother to call back to say he's not coming? It's up to the mother to console them and what is it that she's suppose to tell them when he marries someone else because he thinks that it's hurting the ex and doesn't bother to include the children in his wedding when he knows that their mother would encourage them to do so and wouldn't bother to show up. You all sit back and talk about us Black Females.how we just want to make your lives misserable....what about the ones who want you to be apartt of your childs life and really could care less about the child support? I applaude the men who are men and help take care of his responsibility and yes .....it makes me mad as hell when some of these females have good father's for their children but makes the child pay for the fact the the man no longer wants her. But what about the ones who just want the father to be a father to his children? What do you have to say for Us mother's that has to be father and mother?
