The question for me is: where?s Spike Lee coming from?? Foxx said. ?He didn?t like Whoopi Goldberg, he doesn?t like Tyler Perry, he doesn?t like anybody, I think he?s sort of run his course. I mean, I respect Spike, he?s a fantastic director. But he gets a little shady when he?s taking shots at his colleagues without looking at the work. To me, that?s irresponsible.?

HOW do jaime foxx know that spike aint look at so-called work in question,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,neg ro please

jaime just mad that everyone saying that django movie aint shyt

Jamie Foxx must still be in character from the movie.

He's still trying to tote the water for the cinema exec's.

Bass Reeves
Reeves was an expert with rifle and pistol. During his long career he developed superior detective skills. When he retired from Federal service in 1907, Reeves claimed to have arrested over 3,000 felons. Reeves admitted having to shoot and kill fourteen outlaws in defending his life while making arrests.

I don't think the critics question the authenticity of Black lawmen, gunslingers, and bounty hunters in the 1800's-early 1900's America.

I'm originally from Texas so i know a bit of that history.

The issue for me is whether anyone should be able to depict out Ancestors enslavement in anyway at anytime they see fit.

I won't go see the movie in theater in support of Spike Lee and that legacy

But, from what I've heard, there is a lot of subliminal messages in it. So, unless you know some of your history, you might be lulled into believing anything.

I was around some friends today, and Django (film) came up. One friend asks, 'How come they don't make satire about the holocaust or 9/11?" Why is it 'ok' for the black survival to be satirized? I guess thats like your concern of how the struggle is depicted.
I can certainly see why that would be a concern. But I also wonder why nobody ever asks Spike Lee why he hasnt/doesnt make movies that depict the struggle for what it was. Why no nat turner or Bass reeves films? For all the times spike has gone in on trantino or perry, he hasnt come with a film that is more sensitive on the issue of black enslavement.

When we do the slave math and learn not to spend our money with people who do not spend their money with us, we'll find:

Spike Lee films:

Malcolm X (1994)
budget: $33 million
box office receipts: $48 million

Miracle at St. Anna (2008)
budget: $45 million
box office receipts: $9,290,894

Quentin Tarantino films:

Pulp Fiction (1994)
budget: $8.5 million
box office receipts: $213,928,762

Inglourious Basterds (2009)
budget: $70 million
box office receipts: $321,455,689

* Django (2012)
budget: $100 million
box office receipts
to date: $129 million

*Maybe why the studio execs told Jamie Foxx (an actor or community activist/caged Mandingo rival of Spike Lee/ black representative for the church of Obama and the mainstream...etc.,etc.) to become so outspoken since he's already got his check.
