Nigerian Army Suppresses Newspapers
The Nigerian military has confiscated or destroyed copies of at least four leading newspapers, Punch, Leadership, Vanguard, and The Nation, around the country, according to news reports. And soldiers across Nigeria seized copies of Abuja's Daily Trust newspaper after it reported that the army had shared out to top military officers land that was designated for barracks in Abuja.
I'm glad I'm here in the good ol USA where that kind of thing isn't done nor condoned abroad.
