Antwone Fisher Actor Commits Suicide




De'Angelo Wilson should have had an inspiring story of his own.

On Nov. 26, the Antwone Fisher actor was found dead in the back room of a Los Angeles business. Wilson, 29, hanged himself.

If any of yall been watching BET in the past few months. this is the cat that played that gay guy in that beauty shop type movie that plays about 2 or 3 times a week.

I don't remember him from Antwone Fisher but I remember his gay role in The Salon. I guess I woulda been depressed too if my most memoriable role is as a homosexual.

omg your so right. Thats a shame that he couldn't of gotten some type of help. I wonder what he has done since Beauty Shop? That's like with sports, you can't count on it for every, or even a model thats why folks in that field should get some type of education or other career to fall back on just in case. His family is in my prayers

the bodycount would be in the thousands if people out in Cali started killing themselves because their acting career wasn't as good as they wanted it to be. he was fortunate to get the few roles he was able to get.

@ everyone who thinks he is the guy from Beauty Shop he is not. D'angelo Wilson played in Vivica Fox's The Salon. It is very sad and unfortunate that he took his self out like that; and I feel so bad for his family. I dont understand what took so long for them to announce his death and its been almost 2 weeks! @ HelloKitty he has done several small gigs for shows and movies but nothing major. He was in a movie in 06' along with 8 mile and he also played a few times on CSI.

My heart-felt sympathy go out to Mr. Wilson's mother and entire family for their loss. I also encourage all, young and old who are persuing and those holding down a career in the entertainment business to stay strong.

Come on, lets not start on "blame the gays"/anti-Prop 8 bandwagon

Mental illness is not discussed enough in the black community because it doesn't happen to us or all we need is a little Jesus. God helps those who help themselves. Sometimes we need counseling, medication, and a strong support system to help those dealing with depression.

So instead of concentrating on the gay thing, let's focus energy on helping those who maybe suffering from depression and get them the help they need before it's too late.

I wrote a whole novel about self destructive depression brought on by racism and all the other smack brothas face....Thuggin', bangin' etc is just as destructive as what this brotha did. I don't know if it was prop 8, but I do know that self destructive behabior of the black male is a conversation we run from as a society.
RIP young blood, though I know the odds are that you can't.
