Ridiculous isn't it?

This is NOT a Christian country. It was NOT founded on Christianity and the United States Constitution IS CLEAR. Perhaps they forgot to read the BILL OF RIGHTS.

I think it was great of him to do that. Not every one in this country is a believer but they vote and pay taxes. Even all of the founding fathers were not Christians.

I am a Christian!!!!! And I didn't see anything wrong with him acknowledging "non believers" because quite frankly we all have to work together to make things better despite our different religions!!!

Some Christians need to get over it. This country is made up of all types of people with different religions and some with no religion as well. Those are the facts, and no one group gets higher status than the next. I support Obama recognizing non-believers the same way I support children being able to pray in school. Religion shouldn't be forced nor should it be repressed. Everyone's belief's should be held with the same regard and given the same respect.

Good, let those Quakers shake in their boots!

Perhaps it is the fear that someone is finally going to drive the stake (pun intended) between church and state considering that the laws of this land have highly favored the "christian wrong" since the first settlement in Jamestown 1607.

I am a believer in the"Anointed", but I had to abandon the title Christian. for over 2000, the system drafted by trifing little men have steered the world into a big ol mess.

In President Obamas' lifetime, the christian faith stood divided on so many "moral issues" that don't even make sense to young people today.
Sunday is the most racially divided day of the week to worship the same God?

The deal is this, you take all the true believers in Chirist that know to "judge not", the religious non Christians, along with the non believers, and I would bet a big mac the numbers in tax paying citizens out number tambourine beaters 3:1!

Time to get in the back of the bus moral "majority"!

THE TRUE RELIGIONS OF AFRICAN-AMERICANS ARE:

Ancestor Veneration - Ligting candles and praying to our ancestors for guidance -- That religion is practiced by 99 percent of African-Americans.

Vadu - The ability to use the SPIRITUAL FORCES FOR SELF-DEFENSE (ESPECIALLY AGAINST RACISM), and for both economic and spiritual upliftment.

The racist portrayal of Vadu is rather insulting and it is based on racism. Vadu is the only religion that SAYS TO PRACTITIONERS, 'You are of the Godhead.'

In Vadu, you don't 'worship' a God, YOU BECOME PART OF THE GODHEAD.

Orisha - The recognition of Elemental Forces
Orisha believers can do everything from building self-confidence needed for personal growth TO USING SCIENTIFIC FORCES TO CONTROL WEATHER.

Dogon religion of Cosmogony which includes recognition of the SIRIUS STAR SYSTEM AS THE PLACE WHERE HUMANS ORIGINATED, as well as the recognition of Venus as the Warrior God, along with the strict study of astronomy IS PART OF DOGON RELIGION WHICH IS CONNECTED TO ORISHA AND THE ANCIENT RELIGIONS OF THE OLMECS (Afro-Olmecs of Mexico; see 'A History of the African-Olmecs: Black Civilizations of America From Prehistoric Times to the Present Era,' at AuthorHouse . com http://www.authorhouse.com also see 'Susu and Susunomics," http://www.iuniverse.com
http://www.myspace.com/sexyaab ooksculture )

MAAT-KHEMET -
That is the religion of the ancient Egyptians, which is still practiced in one form or another by Africans.

It includes the recognition of the AFRICAN NEW YEAR on the SPRING EQUANOX IN MARCH. It also recognizes sciences and various chem-mystries (Chem - means Black; mystries - means 'The Unknown.'

IT IS TIME THAT BLACK AMERICANS AND BLACKS IN AFRICA AND GLOBALLY REVIVE AFRICAN RELIGIONS.

REAL BLACK HISTORY

These people are fcuking ridiculous....

Perhaps they should take a Constitutional law class and familiarize themseves with the "Establishment" clause and "Free Exercise" clause. Christianity is not the only religion nor should it be. Everyone is not required to have the same faith.

It never surprises me when Christians, who believe God is real, simultaneously think atheists are imaginary.

~But between those two statements, the new president got specific: "We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus, and nonbelievers."~

All he did was speak the truth and REal Christians would acknowledge that. REal Christians don't go around shoving their beliefs down someone else's throat, they accept that not everyone believe in GOD and pray about it. lol No one is above anyone because of their beliefs.

I'm a Christian and I would not treat someone less than human based solely on their religion. Of course not everyone is like me.....
As the President of the United States, he is in charge of looking out for everyone...regardless of Religion, Race, Gender or sexuality.

I was at an orientation for a job. They had a whole bunch of us in a large room. The girl 2 seats down from me was just going on the entire time (about 2 hours or so) talking about herself, her marriage, men, and of course how everyone is jealous of her. I felt sorry for the girl who was sitting next to her who was too nice to say anything. Well she crossed the line when she pulled her bible out of her purse and started lecturing and teaching this girl, at a freakin orientation. She just couldn't understand why people didn't like her, she thought it was cause she was too pretty. I can honestly tell you that wasn't the reason.

The truth does tend to upset people, but the truth shall make you free as well. I can't see why anyone would get upset by someone just stating a fact. Freedom of religion includes the freedom of one to practice his or her beliefs as well as the freedom to have no belief. God help us!

i love my God

and i love my Jesus too

but Christianity gets on my nerves.

people who know the difference between religion and spirituality don't waste time trying to draw all of these lines around others' rights to their own beliefs
