 * A note from my daughter



To All Famiy & Friends: This year several of my family members have been told they have cancer, most recently my great-grandmother. She was told this week she has a very rare type of brest cancer, she is 78 years old. Scince I am only 13 there is not much I can do or say to help her, but I can do this. The yearly race for the cure is personal now. I thank all who helped last year and ask that you find it in your heart to help this year. No amount is too small, it's tax deductible and every penny helps. So please take out a few moments of your time to help out a great cause. Give what you can a buck maybe more, if tou can't a prayer would be nice. I would love anything you could afford to give. Our team name this year is Blackbelts_4_Boobies and we would like your help.

 Be there for the one you love, I mean truly B There. Some of us think it is enough just to say the words " I love you." but they are only words. A person wants to look into your eyes and see love. Be in your company and feel love surrounding them. They want to feel they can share their deepest, darkest secrets with you and know they will not be judged. Ladies, a man wants to know that he can run into some hard times now and then and you will still have his back. True love will encourage the good and be the extra support needed to lighten the weight of the bad. Men, my strong black men, Women are emotional creatures. Everything we do is either a result of an emotion or will affect us emotionally later. Although very few women will admit it, we are an emotionally driven species it is how we are wired. That being said, yeawe all have this list of qualities we feel ourman should have and they will most likelybe different for every woman, but the term (emotionally supportive) will be somewhere near the top of All of our list. Fellas, this does not mean pretend to listen while you silently wish for her to hurry up and say what she is trying to say so you can finish your game or chill with the boys, or listen only so you can get some.We earn the right to get emotional sometimes, and we all do it in our own way, but we earn it every time we lift you up as a man when you are down, every time we stand for you as your woman when your searching for the strength to stand for yourself, every time we give you that strength. Every time we bear the seed planted by you. Ladies, I`m speaking to my real ladies, we have to be supportive of our men, no matter if it is the first or the fifty - first time they are chasing a dream they have yet to catch. They have to know that their dream is ours also. We have to lift them up when they are down, and be there when they feel the world has turned there backs on them. We have to show them that we know the kind of man they are and what their full potential is. We have to let them know that we want to grow with them no matter how far WE fall, yes I said WE, because in love I am He and He is I.
