Do you really think that a Roman
Soldier would have told her to run along

If Mary`s eye were blue
And if Mary's hair was blonde
She would been lodged in the Hilton
And not in a "Manger` on a lawn
With a bun in her oven with nine months gone...
If Mary's eyes were blue
And If Mary`s hair was blonde
Whites would be allowed to sit on a cloud
Blacks in hotels would not be allowed
With a bun in her oven with nine months gone...
Mary`s eyes weren`t blue
They were jet, They were black
She was a black Madonna
Prima Donna, that`s a fact
If Jerusalem is to the east
They came from the west
They followed the star from Africa
I`m good in Geography, I know best
Jesus was not blue eyed
Jesus has a fro
Don`t brainwash me with your BS....

When the TV Comes ALIVE
There are special tortures
Reserved for black women,
Please understand the pain
That we have been given.
We are told that we lack
Intelligence, beauty, and self pride.
The media tells us that
We are ugly to look upon,
When the TV comes alive-
Wait, listen, these are our conditions,
Nappy headed queens are the leaders of the opposition.
Our dominion is not the minion of those who hate
Black women.
Let us levitate. Elevate, debate, these bad conditions.
Our mission, is to end this division.
If black cats are the objects of superstition,
We will need nine lives to conquer division.
We have risen, above racial friction.
We need to dominate diction to convey our afflictions.
My sisters, what happened ?
Gentlemen do not see us as rare women,
They don't understand.
Can't they see that we are driven?
Black women are Black people too,
Yeah, I'm taking to you!
What you're saying isn't true.
If beauty is skin deep, then,
Why are we such fashion freaks?
Sistah's speak!
We are the objects of a global critique.
Black women are targets for people who feel powerless.
When we bloom,
Never assume,
That we are flowerless.

What you say is true.
This has happened to me,
This has happened to you.
If Imus would have called Laura Bush a gross name,
He would have been blacklisted, his career enflamed
If Imus would have called Hillary Clinton a gross name
America would say:" Why disrespect
Such a great dame? "
Great Danes, are bytches.
Gardens need hoes.
From rags to riches, we will rise,
From head to toe.
R-E-S-P-E-C-T !
We are not the cause of poverty .
Economic stress affects,
Women's economic autonomy .
Our reduced aerobic capacity,
Derives from colonial history.
Divine trichotomy-
We live on white properties,
With accommodated ideologies.
This does not make us problem-free !
We built the house
Its roof, and foundation.
Since creation,
Black women have been part of liberation.
Social security, leaves us insecure.
Political tissues, need to offer us a cure
Let's address: health, and social issues.
Commonalities of movement,
Collective memory of this racist itinerary,
Clearly need improvement.
Music execs need to discuss misogyny.
This makes sense to me.
We deserve more than an apology.
Understand our history,
This is truly horrific.
Racism is specific.
Black queens,
Follow your dreams,
Black beauty is terrific.
There are special tortures
Saved for black women.
Please, understand the pain that we have been given.
