OK, a little about me: I am a completely single, college-educated (Bachelor`s) professional male, who goes to work every day, owns his space, and takes care of biz...in short what some call a "Good Black Man" :) First and foremost, I consider myself a Spiritual Man (different from religious), in that I always try to live life well, and do the right thing, with regards to howI relate to the people, and things around me. I am also easygoing, laid back, patient and even-tempered, very considerate, kind (do unto others....), punctual, protective, and at times "full of jokes". Most importantly though, I am very communicative...You`ll never have to guess what`s on my mind, what`s wrong, or why I feel the way I do about something. PhysicallyI`m 5`10" at about 195-200lbs. My interests include reading (King, Koontz, McCammaron and Rice-Vampire series, Horror, Science Fiction, News, and occasionally Women`s publications, to keep up with what my sistahs are thinking/talking about). I ain`t gonna lie, I don`t do all the stuff I used to do (darts, racquet ball, chess, bowling), but I think that has more to do with not having a partner to do them with. But I do enjoy stimulating conversations (debates), Movies and dinner, an occasional nite out, and quiet evenings chilling with my significant other.
What`s missing: Hmmmmmmm, I`m a fairly content person, and I like my company, but someone to complement who I am would be a welcome addition. I call her Ms. Right
Before I get to that though...Recently I had a discussion with a good female friend of mine, who is single, and SAYS she is seeking a "good black man". As she ticked off her list of criteria (And believe ME, men ain't got NOTHING on women when it comes to having lists of `got to haves` in a mate),I asked her a question, that I would like to ask those of you of similar mind as my friend: How SERIOUS are you about having LOVE in your life? Are you really content with the prospect of living your future lives with only the love of your children and family? Yes, NOW, while the kids are still home, it doesn`t seem like you`re missing much...But think about the day when they`re gone, off living their lives, raising THEIR families, finding their LOVE that some of you thought didn`t matter because you had friends, family and children. After asking her that question, tears welled in her eyes, as she really thought about her frame of mind when it came to seeking a mate. She cried as she told me how she really wanted someone, but was too busy, intentionally filling her days and thoughts with activities of motherhood, to keep from having to think about the lack of a mate in her life. Of course she got a little defensive, and wanted change it around to talk about "OUR" criteria (which of course was a short discussion...lol). But I told her she can`t change other people`s way of thinking, all she could do was change her own. Again...How SERIOUS are you? Just something to consider :) Ok, enough of that...Back to who is "Ms Right" :) First and foremost, she is THICK-N-SHAPELY (emphasis on"SHAPELY")! She is very considerate and kind hearted. She is also warm, sweet natured, happy and at the very least, accepting of,if not secure with herself physically, EVEN TEMPERED-Sorry, if you feel it`s your perogative to inflict "bad moods" on people at will, then please find someone else whose as screwed up as you are.-, playful, thoughtful and loving, intelligent, and emotionally stable (no baggage...well maybe a carry-on, but no steamer trunks...lol). The following is from my BP dating profile...YESSSSS, I`m on BP dating...Like you aint! LOL What are the top 5 qualities you look for in your match? Honesty, Consideration, Sincerity, Monogamy, Affection What is your biggest complaint about dating? Finding someone to date...lol. I Love my sistas but y`all don`t make it easy for brothers to connect with you. Sometimes, an opportunity will present itself, when meeting someone is the last thing on our minds. But instead of adjusting our attitude, and taking advantage, we let potential happiness pass us by, cause we "Aint trying to meet nobody today/here/right now!". Sad, sad, sad. You`d be surprised how far a friendly smile and eye contact will go :) A good thing to know about me is... I don`t tolerate inconsideration at all. I expect folks to be nice, and do what they say, when they say they`ll do it. Of course things come up at the last minute, but that`s where consideration comes in :) Of course I will respond to "Hi`s" and "Hellos" whether or not there is a picture on your page. BUT, if there is an interest beyond just speaking, having only Glam (Talk about deception!),cam, or studio pics on your page, or pages in which there are only face and upper body shots will only illicit a polite "hello"-type response from me. Listen, I'm nt trying to tell people what types of photos to post on their page, or say that people who post certain types of pictures are bad people. I'm just expressing what I require in order to determine the level of romantic interest on my part. LOL...of course I reserve the right to make exceptions :-)
