personal message

I am a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and the Order of the Eastern Star, as well as the bestselling author of three novels, Cheatin' in the Next Room, A Dead Rose, and Putting It Back Together. I've also contributed to six anthologies. My next novel, Some Wounds Never Heal, and my newest anthology, The Color of Strength, are due to hit the stands in 2011. If you are an aspiring author, feel free to contact me for support, motivation or advice. I have been an Army journalist for the past 17 years, and I hold a Master's in HUman Relations from the University of Oklahoma. I have accomplished a lot, but I am willing to share to give someone else a hand up. I'm mostly on here for networking, but if you happen to approach me in pursuit of a casual relationship, please step to me correctly. Promises of love and testimonies of great sex do not impress me. I'm 37 years old and have learned that love comes with time, and a relationship cannot stand on sex alone. I am the single mother of a beautiful 11-year-old girl, so I don't take well to games. Thank you for visiting my page, and feel free to review my photos and blogs. I look forward to hearing from you.

1. One review will earn you an entry into a drawing for a $50 Macy's gift card.

2. A review for both novels will earn you... (continue reading)

Reggie stared in disgust at the shriveled up piece of latex. He wasn't shocked. He'd always known Nikki was cheating on him. Hell, it was common knowledge that she was sleeping with half the NFL. He'd grown so used to her transgressions that he really didn't care anymore. But why did she have to do her dirt in his bed?

He couldn't understand why she hated him so much that she couldn't even respect him enough to keep her men out of their bedroom. Or out of their house, for that matter.... (continue reading)

Speech--African Americans in the Military

Why do we still celebrate ethnic observances? Observances such as African-American History Month remind everyone, regardless of nationality, to celebrate our rich history.

This year's theme is The Quest for Black Citizenship in the Americas. As a Soldier, I take particular pride in this because nowhere is this quest for pride and citizenship more exemplified than in the U-S military.

Celebrating African-American History Month reminds us to keep our military's imperfect past in... (continue reading)
