RISE ABOVE... Wishing Everyone a Happy and Healthy Holiday Season I have been blessed this year and I'm sure many of you have been also. Take the time to THANK GOD for not leaving you this year. I am happier than Happy, for good friends that are returning home from the various battle grounds across the world, whether it was Iraq or Afghanistan. THANK GOD for not leaving you this year. I am thankful that I am a voice for artistic expression and cultural enlightenment. I have had many wonderful opportunites that have crossed Cultural lines and showed the many similarities that truly make us brothers and sisters of the world. THANK GOD for not leaving you this year. By putting my trust in GOD he has shown me once again that GOD IS GOD, LET HIM BE GOD. He WILL take care of his children. When you surround yourself with goodness, that goodness will multiply among the living. The light that shines from your face in the morning will shine in the darkest of nights. Your pathway through life will be guarded by the ANGELS here to guide you to the HIGHEST FORM OF LIVING. THANK GOD for not leaving you this year..
for 2008 I pray that we, as a people will realize that there are still injustices in the world that we MUST address. We have the power to RISE ABOVE THE MEDIOCRITY that is expected of us. We are not stupid. We are not incompetent.. We are not impertenent. In 2008, make sure you tell a young person, I BELIEVE IN YOU! In 2008, make sure your high school seniors GRADUATE. In 2008, give your child an instrument. In 2008, read your child's books and their book reports. In 2008, start a savings account for your child. In 2008, start a 401k for yourself. In 2008, join the "HEALTHY BLACK FAMILY" program. In our community it is imperative for our health to be a major focus so that our children can be healthy and not die at 44 from diabetes. In 2008, create your dreams. AND LIVE THEM. In 2008, be AMAZING. DON'T BE A STATISTIC THAT CONTRIBUTES TO THE DOWNFALL OF OUR SOCIETY. BE A STATISTIC THAT UPLIFTS OUR SOCIETY.
