MENTAL INTERCOURSE 101:
Peace of mind.
The fact of the matter is this, many believe you must adjust and create a peace of mind, let me tell you today, that is a falsehood.
Peace of mind is already in your possession; the real task is keeping it. You see upon your arrival, to life, to maturity, to awareness, to a woke state of mind, to enlightenment, whatever your situation and whatever you location on this fleshly journey you began with (A PEACE OF MIND).
We are inundated with all the beauty and fallacies of the human nature and as such our natural "GOOD" well-being is constantly under attack. What some may corroborate, and many will argue and deny is most times this unbalanced, and overwhelmingly negative context is from within your very own personal circle.
That being said, it is imperative we purge from our arena those that would poison it, yes, yes, I know, how do you do that with relatives, boyfriends, siblings, children, friends well of course each situation is different with many dynamics and consequences, in other words there is no one fit all answer. But each individual must decide the boundaries and levels of engagement you are willing to incur. In experiencing this fleshly life, it seems self-preservation is the key.
I use a lot of metaphors in an attempt to one, be tactful, and two colorfully explain my point without stepping on any toes. So here goes,
(Before taking the responsible approach to protecting a loved one or anyone in your inner circle, even as they spew negativity all over your new mental tuxedo... Apply the airline rule of survival...PUT YOUR MASK ON FIRST, then you can save someone else)
If you are willing to sacrifice your life and sanity for someone then your answer and path is clear. But if you have the slightest question or reservation about Martyrdom then I suggest you preserve yourself first and allow those around you to follow your lead. In your preservation allow your beliefs, your love, your humanity to be witnessed in how you live not in how you die.
Moral: you can't change or protect anything IF YOU'RE NOT HERE.

Opinion:
Having been raised in a relatively large family has taught me a lot and this sticks out today, I can’t change anybody but I can realize when they will not change themselves.
