Diamond in the Rough
Beaten and Bruised from the life I lead, still not ashamed of a single tear I shed. Scarred and Torn both inside and out, refusing to contain words escaping from my mouth. Broken and shattered whats the use of my heart, grateful to all who hung on from the start. Emerging from it all even though it was tough, Now Sparkling and Shining a true diamond in the rough!
The New Me
No longer wanting to play games to grown for all that. Not caring any more if I`m skinny or fat. To look at myself and accept what I see, Doing things my way slowly and carefree. Realizing that I must live for me each day, Fully disregarding what others might say. Knowing tomorrow is not promised to you or me, So I walk with pride and much dignity. I was blessed with more than just a models frame, I have wisdom and knowledge stored within my brain. There are times I want to show off and pose, A little flesh here and there from under my clothes. I work faithfully to fulfill my deepest dream, Just one glance at my life and you`ll know what I mean. Don`t mind a man that`ll stand at my side, Won`t ask for to much, maybe its my pride. I`m grown now and your backbone I`ll gladly be, But in the background is a place you`ll never find me. I`ll ride with my man and forever be true, Just respect me for me and I`ll stay down for you!
Before I forget I have to thank all those who thought they could bring me down. Each of you who hated, betrayed, lied, and cheated. Only helped to make me more decaded in making you look more like shyt as I shined above, like a star in the sky. YOU, all knew my strengths and should have realized that it takes more than a bunch of ignorant minds to bring me to the bottom. I AM A SURVIVOR!!! I taught YOU more than YOU could have ever taught yourself and as each of YOU move on through life it shows more and more how ignorant you truly are.
I can`t and won`t be stopped by anyone. The LORD has guided me to my path and I will walk it proudly never looking back at all those who drag behind holding my ankles trying to bring me down to their level!!
