As the sunlight creeps and peeps thru my window blinds, the sun crawls over to my eyes, and even with them closed i still see him, realizing its a priviledge just to lay next to him, With lifted lashes i see the sun rays dashing over to his side and restin on his sleepin eyes, im too affraid to touch him for the fear of ruinin all of his perfect imperfections, & while I've tried to refrain, his calm yet steady breaths keeps me sane, So i move over to inhale the sweet scent of this black man, that flows into my soul and dwells in the halls & walls of my heart, i reach over & graze the curves of his lips with my finger tips,i recline and press them against mine, cuz he knows just like I, my heart is where he resides, as i touch his brown skin & with the palm of my hand i craddle his chisled chin and stare @ him, in his purest innocence realizing this is the last man i'll ever look @ like this, and while still asleep he reached for me, not too pull me too close, but just to know where my hand would be, i lay next to him with our fingers intertwined & the warmth of his skin sent chills & tingles down my spine, the smallest of hairs stands on my neck understanding that this is no ordinary man, still resting he holds me tight & rubs my head, with my hair fallin between his fingers like grains of sand, i can hear him breating in my ear and those breaths seemed to whisper my name, feelin too comfortable i inhale while exhaling i love u in the air, and like second nature & no more than 2 seconds later he said softly i love u too, with this smile now painted on my face i know now, it was never meant to be captured, i lay with eyes wide shut wondering how many times you've looked @ me like this......the morning after
