My name is Dennis Dowdy, I started this site, because I don't want other new network marketers to go through the struggles that I went through as a newbie to MLM. I became upset with the old school marketing strategies, you know the 3 foot rule, hanging flyers, bugging your family and friends, and holding hotel meetings.
About 8yrs ago when I first joined my first network marketing company, I was told to use these same techniques. I was told to make a list of 100 people that I knew and basically call every one of them to ask and see if they would be interested in making some extra money.
I was only faced with questions I wasn?t able to answer, getting hung up on, and faced with nothing but rejection.
When I was officially shunned by everyone that I knew, all my upline told me to do was to go out and buy some opportunity leads.This only led me to some more rejection. Also, I was spending money that I did not need to and had nothing to show for it.
Then just as I was going to give up, I found what I consider to be the ?life saver? for my business.
Psychodynamic Marketing. This is a term I coined to describe a strategy that enables you to look at your marketing efforts as a ?whole?, rather than several different unrelated marketing strategies. You would blend both offline and online marketing approaches. Psychodynamic marketing would include attractive marketing, branding yourself as integral part of your marketing strategy. Branding yourself is a must in todays world if you are going to be successful in building your MLM business. Your approach to marketing must be wholistic. If you don?t integrate yourself in your marketing approach you will not have much success, whether you are doing marketing online or offline. This marketing concept came to me due to the research I studied as a graduate student. I remember being intrigued by gestalt psychology.
In the 1920?s a school of thought called gestalt psychology was found by german psychologists: Max Wertheimer, Kurt Koffa, and Wolfang Kohler. The psychology of Gestalt, which means ?shape? or ? form? in Germany, is based on the notion that perceptions are more than the sums of their parts.
Most small businesses look at their marketing and select marketing formats to action that they are comfortable with, and therefore, omit to undertake or incorporate marketing actions that are less comfortable for them. I understood one things as I worked with students and adults as a guidance counselor that you must develop a relationship with my student. I considered them to be my customers, so I treated with much respect. I knew that my relationship with my students must be genuine, caring and with an unconditional positive regard of their wants and needs. Likewise, building a relationship with your customer is very important to your business.. You customer must trust you, and believe that you have some value to offer them rather than trying to get them to use their credit card. When you use a psychodynamic approach you will build an army of loyal followers with the following six benefits:1.you will have customers who will stick with you when the going get tough 2. They will respect and trust you, and have full confidence in you. 3. They will give you loyal cooperation, and support. 4. They will follow you in other business ventures,5. They will work together as a team with high spirit and purpose. toward a common goal. 6. you will have individuals within you organization that will show ingenuity, initative and enthusiasm. My belief that our customers? needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals.
