MEN.... Dream what you want to dream. Go where you want to go. Be
what you want to be, You only have one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do. May you have enough happiness to make you sweet ! Enough trials to make you strong. Enough sorrow to keep you human ! Definitely enough hope to make you happy... Always put yourself in others shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the other person to. With all that said ! My name is Vanessa. I am looking for someone who is real , not only with himself but with me. Honesty is always the best policy. Life is too short ! A woman makes her own path toward happiness, She does not tip-toe. She does not tread lightly on her path. She does not take baby steps. She pounds with each long stride making her presence known; revealing her intent. She does not side-step obstacles- she obliterates them. She pauses only to aid those who have fallen before her. But, She does not linger over those who prefer failure She marches on, Making her own path FOR THE BLACKMAN This is for black men who have contemplated suicide because the devil is giving you a tough ride. This is for black boys who miss their fathers and have no example to follow. This is for black men who have taken the long way home because the check was a bit short this week. This is for my struggling brothers out there. Struggling with identity employment, providing for family, health, wealth, and poverty. This is for my brothers who have had enough, who feel that this version of the life story is just a bit too rough. This is for black men who still pray, who still believe that they will have it together someday. This is for grandfathers with liquid eyes and a glass of gin on the side. This is for grandfathers who smile down at their sons and relatives whisper, Job well done. This is for my brothers who have repented, and not relented to this wicked system. This is for teenage boys with their eyes on the prize who study hard despite historical lies. This is for young fathers whose dicks grew faster than their minds, and are just catching up with the times. This is for the lonely nice brother that my silly sisters seem to ignore. This is for the diseased don juans, sliding up in anyone. I want to talk to believers and achievers, liars and deceivers. I want to talk to lovers and haters, even the players. I need to speak to all black boys and men, I know some of you have made mistakes. I know some of you will make them again. I know that many of you are hurting even with, smiles on your bronze faces. I know that each of you have gotten lost along the way. Some of you have fought to be here today. Some of you cried last night. Some of you conceived a child last night. Some of you whispered sweet things to your wife/girlfriend last night. Some of you felt a little bit insecure last night. I know sometimes you feel as if I am not listening, as if I could not possibly understand. Some of you got dissed when you offered your hand. All of you have been disappointed at one point or another. Some of you are more than fed up with your baby mother. I just want to say. Don t give up when this world gets tough. Don t give up on your family, a paycheck is not enough. Don t pursue those who have no respect or love for you, too much heartbreak can make a bitter man. Don t ignore wise words even if they may not apply at the present moment. Don t be afraid of love and taking chances. Remember, you are beautiful and the image of God. His power flows through you and too many times is lying dormant. These words are meant to support and refresh your spirit. This is for you my brother, who may not hear these words of love and encouragement often because our family has been so damaged, its hard to reawaken the warrior spirit in you. Did you know your beauty? Your strength? Your power? Did you know that this world is ours? This is for you brother, royalty walking upon this earth, unaware of your self worth! This is for you.
