Retired from federal service and entering a second phase of my life. Purchased my own business, Raising my oldest granddaughter, she is in high school...we have a ball..literally..a basketball every weekend AAU or a soccer ball. Looking for someone who finally understands what a relationship means. Not interested in men under the age of 45 for anything other than friendship. Unless you are extremely mature. Sorry just my preference.

That Red Dress
She had a smile that warmed my heart like the heat from the sun
She was new life that wondered into my lonely shelter of love
Her stare burned my core as she gazed into my soul
I was so anxious that I almost lost my mind afraid of what she`d know
The dress that flowed into my dreams like water from a brook
I wished her into existence with passion in that one look
I gaped within my heart to make since of what I was feeling
She was so beautiful and I was lost in this obvious fantasy
The dress draped across shoulders like rainfall from a leaf
It swayed like an evening breeze slowly across my cheek I struggled with my emotions but was loosing so very badly
She was my weakness and it was obvious that she had me
But to be had is what I anticipated and aspired for all my life
I saw a brand new and prosperous life with her that was right
If tomorrow brings happiness and meaning to a life that was risen from the dead, Then I happily look forward to life with the woman in that Red Dress.
