The Mercy Seat was only a shadow of the reality. The LORD is the True Mercy Seat. We have a Great High Priest who is touched with the feelings of our infirmities.

God was manifested in His Son the Lord Jesus Christ, the True Tabernacle of God. He is the Mercy Seat between the Cheribim.

A tabernacle is a tent-like structure in which a person or persons can dwell. It has stakes, ropes, poles, and coverings. All of these can be seen in Jesus the Messiah. His very Name means YHWH saves. God's Name is in Jesus the Christ. God's love is Jesus Christ. He Himself is the creator of all things.
