⿿Let Your Mind Fly⿝ my new Cd is a unique mix of Jazz Styles. Although it may be considered a Smooth Jazz mix, actually it⿿s Smooth Latin Jazz, Smooth Jazz, Jazz Funk, Contemporary Jazz, Classical Jazz and Jazz Pop if there is such a thing. It is a 2 disc set with a total of 16 tracks with a remix of some songs in a Spanish version. For those who speak both English and Spanish it⿿s a double treat as you can savor both concepts. However even if you don⿿t know Spanish the song melodies are catchy and you⿿ll find yourself singin along even if ya don⿿t know what your singin. Performing with me are some great names in indie music. On guitars are Jake Merritt and the very talented and well known Arnell Byrd. On vocals we have Oscar E. Contreras and Gerry Cruz. Also I⿿m proud to have a special guest on this project, the world renowned Artist Alfredo Arrequín who⿿s awesome artwork appears on the CD and 2disc. Alfredo Arrequín⿿s art captures the soul and Imaginación. Peace my friend and be well.

of years. Prayed and waited for deliverance,
obeyed and challenged all obstacles,
wrestled with anger and fears.
I the black woman; have been lied-on,
Cheated-on, abused and scorned.
Treated like a prostitute, a *bleep*,
and a vixen. Deprived of self
and status, Unsure where I fit in, or
where I belong. I the black woman; no longer
am I loved by the black man.
He accuses me of being controlling,
demanding, unsympathetic of his feelings.
And a better man than he!
I the black woman; abandoned,
neglected; forced to raise my children
without a man. Stood in acceptances of my
circumstances. Protecting my children against things
they didn⿿t understand. I the black woman;
a survivor, a conquer, statistic says,
the most powerful women of all.
Not because of my adversities,
but because, I prevailed. I stayed assertive,
I refused to fall. I The Black Woman;
I did what I had to do.
