My main reason for being here is
that I`m just trying to make some new friends and add some spice to
my life.
I`ve recently started writing poetry again and I`m an avid reader. I love reading and have had an affinity for words for as long as I can remember...if it had words on it, it was fair game, lol. Lately, I`ve found the need to connect more with the "CREATOR" and therefore those are the types of books that I am most interested in. The kind that enlightens and broadens one`s horizons. Self improvement/help, as well as Motivational books are the mainstay of my vast collection...as well as a host of others from different genres. I'm eclectic like that and so is my sense of style...I love being me but not in a big-headed way ;). I am not religious but I am very spiritual. I believe we are all here for a specific reason and I am in search of mine! In the meantime, I will be enjoying the journey!! I would describe myself as calm, quiet, collected and a deep thinker . I`m very loyal to those who mean a lot to me. I`m passionate, especially on issues that are close to my heart. I`m honest, sincere, imaginative, kind, considerate, sweet, thoughtful and intelligent. With me, what you see is what you get. I have no time for false pretenses and people who cannot be their true selves. Eventually, everything comes out. Like it or not!!! My friends would describe me as "EASY LIKE SUNDAY MORNING", no muss...no fuss. Calm, mellow and level-headed. The kind of friend that always has your back no matter what, no matter the need! The most important things in this world to me are my 2 sons, who are the greatest blessings that GOD has seen fit to bestow upon me. No one or nothing comes before them! They are in one of the pictures with me. DANG, how time flies...seems like they were born just yesterday, lol!!! I believe and live by the mottos of "DO UNTO OTHERS, AS YOU WOULD HAVE DONE UNTO YOU" and "WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND!" In all things, let your conscience be your guide, for it is really only YOU that has to face that person in the mirror! Think before you act and speak. There are at least 2 things in this life that cannot be taken back...those are TIME and WORDS spoken...BE WISE WITH BOTH!!! WORDS TO THE WISE... If "YOUR WORD" is all you have...make sure it`s worth something! NEVER underestimate the power of a phone call! The art of "FORGIVENESS" is the best gift you can give yourself, NEVER BE SO UNFORGIVING, THAT YOU, YOURSELF, CANNOT BE FORGIVEN..."a grudge ain`t nothing but a brake...it will stop you every time!" and the only person it hurts is the most important...YOU!!! "A SMILE IS CONTAGIOUS...SO SMILE OFTEN!" ... Some of my favorite past times are: hanging with my kids and discussing whatever comes to mind. Kicking it with my `girlz`, no matter where we are or what we`re doing, we always have fun and leave out the "male bashing". Spending time with my family...our `get-togethers` are always good for a belly-full of laughter! UPDATE: Feb.14/07 I just added a professional profile. Check it out and tell me what you think! I've finally found my niche and I'm so excited about it. The "ESSENCE" that I was born with, as we all have...the GIFT from the ALMIGHTY, has come to fruition and I'm lovin' it!!!
