It has been a long time since I have been on BlackPlanet. I am looking to meet new people. The word "Love" is so underrated and overused. But who really knows what love is? Webster defines love as "a deep affection or liking for someone or something; a passionate affection of one person for another." But what does the Bible say...what does God say that Love is? God says,

"Love is patient,

Love is kind.

It does not envy,

It is not proud.

It is not rude,

It is not self-seeking,

It is not easily angered,

It keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects,

Always trusts,

Always hopes,

Always perseveres.

Love never fails."

-1 Corinthians 13:4-8a NIV



Using this as a guideline, how many people do you really think you have ever loved? More importantly, how many people have ever really loved you?

Sadly, the virtuous woman is nearly extinct. The few virtuous women left are dying emotionally and spiritually because the black men of today are consistently ignoring them, neglecting them, abusing them, and leaving them for dead. My plea to you, Black Man, is that you would nurture the virtuous woman, appreciate her, encourage her, and love her with every opportunity that comes your way. Then, and only then, can other virtuous women be resurrected to stand behind their men.
