I am a man: I am a man born unto a house called dysfunctional,

yet taught by my mother to both fear and praise God in all,

In my younger days, walls could have been built;

because of the lies, games and hurts of this world,

but instead of Love, Peace and contentment being killed,

fear, anger and stress did wilt!!

I thank my God for such an heart, to see the good in all at the start,

for when I meet someone at the start, their eyes tell me a story,

revealling unto me all kinds of glory,

but as many, they also reveal some great shame,

yet I still chose to call them all "friends" by name:

though many had stabbed me in the back,

still, bitterness I did not harbor, nor pack; I am a man!!

I am a man who was not endowed with money and gifts o grandeur,

yet in life I've learned that "true" Love conquers anger;

I have cared and tended to all who have crossed my way,

expecting the same to come my way someday: I am a man!!

I am a man who's had relationships some odd an hundred thirty,

in dealing with women, a king, ever so flirty;

I've been married twice, and divorced to my scorn,

living in a house that was divided and torn,

though I tried to love them none-the-less,

I have laid my time with them to rest: I am a man!!

I am a man again in search of

a love, to warm my heart, make it sing and dance,

a love, that is seen, in a single glance;

a love, that could be strong, if given the chance,

for I as a man, desire Love, and Romance!!

My desire is to have her heart filled with joy,

with her eyes so pure, calling me "her boy",

the one who has risen from the state of other men,

to bring meaning back into her life again;

again I say, for in my life and generation,

most females have learned hurt on occasion:

yet i seek to free her heart, of the pain and past bitterness,

and show to My Lady, that she can have true bliss!!

Though trust at the first may be hard to obtain,

yet to give forth my arms I will not refrain

for someday,

my Love will restore her faith in man again: I am a man!!

In commitment I am a man that craves free honesty,

for honesty that is free breaks the chains to past slavery

a slavery that leads to hurt and pain,

sorrow and confusion,

which destroys lives, and brings ruin, to Union!!

My desire is to be there during her good times and her bad,

knowing that our Union will keep her continually glad;

but these concepts must be shared by us Two,

for without this, how can our Love be true: I am a man!!

I am a man seeking companionship and understanding,

not a woman filled with anger, whose so demanding;

but one who desires to know me, and I likewise with her,

that when her eyes look on me with Love, my heart melts like butter!!

For when my heart both flutters and races,

my goal is to see her smile in all cases;

though she succeed in some things, and in others she may fail,

she will find comfort in me to put her back on the trail!!

For as Woman, she desires her individual acheivements,

and as her man, I desire to see their fulfillments;

for she had a life before there was me,

now a part of that life shall I also be: I am a man!!

I am a man given understanding above many,

both knowledge and wisdom to broaden the minds of any;

though I seek to teach, and yet be taught,

for "true Love" in this life, is what truly I have fought,

to find true love and accomplish it's ending,

as my eyes dim, and my life goes, so many de-friending:

I am a man!!!!!!
