So what is Shortyjams Place you might ask? Well it's a place where you can be free to be yourself and talk about whatevers on your mind at the time. I'm very open minded and we can talk about any subject from Politics (Obama 08 Hummmmm what do you think) to how to bake a cake from scratch or my finger sucking falling off the bones ribs, well maybe not.lol Yes I can cook and if you're nice you just might get a taste.lol.
I've been on this site for sometime now and have met some really nice people here and we've become good friends. If you ask me a question I will give you an honest answer, some say I'm a little brutal with my answers, so if you ask me something you might end up with your feelings hurt if you can't handle honest answer.
My job requires me to travel away from home (GA, no not ATL) for months at a time. I work hard 10 hours a day 7 days a week, but when the weekend arrives I always find time to hit the dance floor. Currently that's in Tacoma or Seattle, but man that drive from Seattle is a killer.lol. I'm a non-drinker or smoker and I'm living proof you can have a goodtime without drinking.
Okay now to the serious stuff. Listen up, I'm speaking to all the mothers, mothers to be and FATHERS out there. Yeah it takes two to bring a child into this world. Please take care of your children, they are our future. What they see you do is what they will grow up imitating. Mold them to be the best they can be and ALWAYS let them know you love them. Don't take it for granted that they know you do, TELL THEM that you do and that goes for anyone you truly care about.
You're probably asking where I'm going with this, well I ask that you visit this page on BP (AngelCalledHome) and I think you will understand. You see this is a page we dedicated to our daughter who passed away at the age of 13 and the last words we said to each other as I walked out the door was I love you. I had no idea 3 hours later I would get a call telling me to hurry to the hospital because it doesn't look like my daughter was going to make it. People she had a heart attack and stroke at the age of 13 and never recovered after 3 days on life support. I wish this pain on no one, but the hardest thing I ever had to do was not have the doctors remove her from life support, but it was to tell her sister who was 7 at the time that her sissy was not coming home anymore. Just writing this brings tears to my eyes, but I feel if this touches at least one person then it's worth the tears.
