He lifted a crisp new $100 bill in the air and asked, "Who would like this bill?" Everyone's hand flew in the air. Then the teacher crumbled the bill and threw it to the ground. He then asked, "Who would like this bill?". Still, all hands went into the air. Next, the teacher stepped on the bill and ground it into the dirt with his shoe. He then asked, "Anybody still want this bill?". Once again, everyone's hand went into the air. Finally, he picked up the dirty and crumbled $100 bill, ripped it in half and tossed it to the side. "Now who wants it?" All the students eagerly raised their hands. The teacher responded, "Let this be a lesson to you. In life, people, situations, and the choices you make, may cause you to fall to the ground. Many people will step on you to lift themselves up. Some may even grind you into the dirt, try to rip apart your soul and toss you to the side. But this day remember that just as this $100 bill never lost its value when I did the same to it... Neither will any person, situation or bad choice you make cause your value to decrease. It's not by who you are but by whose you are. Before the foundation of this world you were conceived and no force on Earth can ever take that away. " The students all nodded in agreement as they proceeded on their way. Amen! May Someone be blessed ~ Tatia ********************* On Your Mark It is because God is all knowing, that he has already known the outcome of the race. It's like we are in the Opening Ceremony at the Olympics and God is already sitting at the Award's Ceremony with the engraved medals. God will have mercy on all and show them the way to escape temptations so that they can come out victorious; yet, some runners will take steroids (believe the lie). Some will sprain their ankle (fall away). Many will give up - quit (return to their former lusts). But there are a few, who have faith and hope fearing that slackness will cost them their medals (salvation) so they run, run their hardest and endure til they reach the finish line. Many began the race, 3 arrived at the Awards Ceremony. Gold, Silver, Bronze - they are rewarded accordingly. Amen ~ Tatia ***************************************** WHY DID GOD DO THAT? Man attempts to rationalize God causes great confusion. We will never fully understand God's characteristics because it is beyond our finite mind. God is an infinite God who is capable of ALL things. "O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!... God does as he pleases. (Romans 11:33/Psalm 115:3) Some things are hidden - kept secret until SHOWN (manifested). As things happen - things are revealed. We must WATCH and be prepared with the KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING of what's in the written word. (Rev 22:18) For until that which is PERFECT come - we are only in PART. Now we see through a glass, darkly; but then we will see face to face; Now we know in part; but then we will know even as also we are KNOWN. (1 Corinthians 13:12) Man tries so hard to make sense of it all using his reasoning that he falls into deception. The deception begins when man attempts to define the nature and character of God as less than whom He is, yet, raises the level of man to a position which he is not entitled. A man's wrong view of God leads to a man's wrong view of Jesus Christ, a wrong view of the Holy Spirit and eventually to a wrong view of the elements of salvation. Amen.
