My name is Garfield and I am a sinner saved by the grace of God.

I have learned over the years that whether be on women preaching in the church, water baptism, the Sunday Sabbath, or many other subjects, we all have very strong beliefs on certain things. As a result, we tend to spend more time examining related Bible verses and sharing these beliefs. God explains in Proverbs 12:15 "that the ways of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkens unto counsel is wise". Therefore, our strong beliefs are great if we have the truth and horrible if we do not.

God give us the counsel of the whole bible to study. He commands us in 2 Timothy 2:15 to "study to show ourselves approved unto God." And, God only wants us to believe what He tells us in his words (Romans 3:4). God reminds us in Proverbs 25:2, "it is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings to search out a matter". So as kings let us study the whole Bible and allow, God (the master teacher) to show us through his word whether or not our beliefs are true. In 1 Corinthians 3:7, God explains "so then neither is he that plants any thing, neither he that waters; but God that gives the increase." Let's continue to encourage one another to study the whole Bible as we exchange scripture.

I pray that God will keep our hearts humble enough so it will always accept correction from his wonderful words in the bible.
