It is a widely known fact that Eurocentric scholars have used knowledge to oppress people of African descent for centuries. This is the premise of the Eurocentric ideology; to manifest itself in the culture of non-Europeans, thereby causing total distruction to the consciousness of the people. In order to control the power of the Eurocentric paradigm, people must begin to deconstruct their thought process. Once exposed to accurate data you will be able to utilize the power of Knowledge os a tool of liberation. Knowledge has been used as a tool of oppression. If an individual does not have the true Knowledge of Self, then he/she is bound to be controlled by external forces that will create and define their identity, as well as their thought process. Knowledge is Power, howerver, if one is not receptive to the spirit and origins of that Knowledge you will not be able to receive the message. Consciousness is simply the transference of Knowledge (energy) from its potential state to its kenetic form, which borns Wisdom and Understanding! As a result of being indoctrinated by the Eurocentric paradigm our level of consciousness and spirituality has been altered.
