DON'T HIDE BEHIND THE FACE OF SHAME, SPEAK OUT. SILENCE AND SEXUAL ABUSE IS NOT THE ANSWER. There is an estimated 60 Million survivors of Child Sexual abuse that exist in the US today. Hello, my name is Veronica Thomas and I am the President & co-founder, meaning God is Founder, of S.N.V. Inc. (Survivors Not Victims) of sexual abuse and author of Visions From The Past (A True Story) which is an autobiography of my own childhood sexual abuse. This organization is geared towards helping women, men and children of sexual abuse realize that there is life and success after abuse. Providing comfort and support and to let them know that they are not alone. To let them know that they do not have to choose to continue to be victims, that they to can choose to become successful Survivors. Sexual Abuse is more common than anyone wants to admit or except. Nine times out of ten you already know someone who has suffered this type of abuse, regardless of whether it was a female, child or even a male young or old or if you just heard it on the news. Can you imagine the depth of emotion that a person experiences after such a traumatic event. Feelings of loneliness, despair, spiritual loss, a loss of self-esteem and many, many more emotional stresses, in fact too many to name. I need your assistance in changing someones life to something they never thought was possible after such a devastating experience in their life. These donations will allow us to provide the necessary workshops for victims of sexual abuse. Helping them to overcome and become successful survivors. For these people, just knowing that there are others out there who can identify with them and the emotions they are feeling is more important than anything; to know that they can overcome any barrier that sexual abuse or any abuse can cause and become the successful individual that God intended for them to be. Imagine the difference this could make in someone's life. Being a survivor myself, I am not rich by far, but I am successful with the things I have accomplished and the people I have in my life. I have my family and my many wonderful friends. I just recently graduated from college with my bachelors degree, soon to return for my Masters degree. And completed and published my book on my experiences with childhood sexual assault. These are my successes in life. I need you, other survivors to share your successes in life so that they will know it is possible. To let them know that: WE WILL NOT ALLOW OUR PAST TO DETER, HINDER, STOP, BREAK US OR PREVENT US FROM BEING THE SUCCESSFUL INDIVIDUALS THAT GOD INTENDED US TO BE. That WE ARE SURVIVORS NOT VICTIMS.
