Arrgghh!!! I'm a writer/teacher living now in New Jersey. People for years have been telling me to go to Black Planet, and I've resisted. But, alas here I am. I'm not sure how serious I'll take this writing of my personal statement. I've lived in Los Angeles the past 25+ yrs, although I was born and raised in NJ. Damn it's cold here. I'm not used to it anymore. Actually, I never was used to it. I have several books of poetry published...well, actually 2 to be precise. I'm working on several pieces of prose and doing some freelance editing. I moved back to NJ to take care of my soon-to-be-alzheimers- victim mom. Gosh, it's like coming back to the scene of the crime. In LA I've been teaching high school English the past 16 yrs. I really miss my job. And, what a time to relocate!!! Perhaps I'll write more later. More than likely not. I like all types of music. I have over 3,000 lp's; I used to DJ a little. I've done a lot of spoken word performances....well that's all for now.    |
