Who is THE REAL CY YOUNG? Cy Young has been in radio since 1980! He's worked in Nashville, Tn, Washington DC and Raleigh, NC Since moving to Raleigh, Cy has worked primarily as a morning show host but has done successful stints in mid-days and afternoon drive. He is also the Operations Manager for Foxy 107/104, K-97.5 and The Light 103.9. Professionally, Cy has received TONS of radio industry honors and awards during his radio career including; Program Director/Operations Manager of the year, Announcer of the Year - Foxy Radio Station, Program Director of the Year - Billboard Magazine; Program Director of the Year; Tom Joyner Personality of the Year - Urban Network; Radio Personality of the Year - Black Radio Exclusive. He also has numerous community honors, awards, letters and commendations. Spiritually, he is a licensed and ordained minister in the Christian Faith. He loves serving God’s people. He enjoys the reading of and the teachings in The Bible and tries to use it in his daily living. He has several hobbies and interests including fishing, reading, coaching youth league basketball, fixing up properties for re-sale (for profit!) Cy says… "We are on our way to the top!
