personal message

It is Official. I married the greatest woman ever. My best-friend. The love of my life and the future mom of our future baby. Words cannot describe the joy that has filled my heart. I'm so grateful for BP for allowing us to meet. But I am even more grateful that GOD has blessed me with such a wonderful person. This was the best birthday present ever-our wedding day(3/25/2009).

Who would have thought that I would have met my wife on BP? I did. As I was browsing through BP her page popped up for switching to version 2.0. I clicked on her pic and said "wow beautiful pic"! Then I said "wow" again when I saw her name. Amiris, a name so close to my daughter's name(Amaris) that I had to send her a message 9/2007. She returned a message and was even more surprised. We enjoyed the conversation so much that we decided to exchange IM, emails, and then phone numbers. We would talk for hours and hours. I know this is hard to believe, but it is true. We never discussed sex. I hear so many stories about how bad the men are on here, but let me tell you that showed her that I was interested in knowing her and not trying to get with her. Well 09/2008 after a year of conversations I decided to visit her. Why so long you ask? Hmmm, cause she lives in Vancouver, Canada and I live all the way in Chicago. When something is meant to be you know it. I kept wondering why I wasn't finding that special person. The one that makes you smile without effort. That person that loves you and shows it. That special person was in my life; in my heart but not within arms reach. GOD was testing me to see if I would figure out that it was her. GOD broke me down until I said wait a min "she has been in my life for a year now, there has to be a reason". There was. GOD was trying to let me know that Amiris was who I was suppose to be with. I am so glad that I listened and now I am so happy. Her and I still can't believe what has happened. We are so amazed. A friend of mine asked if I believe in soul mates and I answered "Yes I do", cause we are a very good example of that. I know many of you are like WOW! men share their feelings. Talk about love. Yes some do. I have to show my gratitude for the blessing that GOD has given me. But, GOD didn't stop there. GOD has blessed us with our 1st baby who will be born around first week of August. We are so blessed. Let me wrap this up by saying "Internet Love" is possible. Follow your heart whether it be man on woman reading this. I followed my heart thousands of miles away and it lead me to happiness. I wish anyone who is reading this a lifetime of happiness and pray that you find that special person as well.

Bulletin:I was asked by one of my friends........ to delete my page. She said you already have a good woman why are you here? So I thought for a minute. Why am I here? Then it came to me, I'm here to offer hope to all the women who believe that there are no longer good men out there. I have a beautiful six year old daughter who means the world to me. In fact, she made me laugh and think on Christmas Day. My daughter put two presents under the tree that read "to Daddy". On Christmas Day I grabbed these presents that were very apparent that it was wrapped by a 6yr old and began to unwrap. To my surprise it was two of her books that she took off her bookshelf. She said daddy I gave you some books to read to me so you don't fall asleep. I was cracking up. But my daughter thought enough to wrap daddy some presents. I will never forget that moment. So there you have it. BP needs positive men like me on here. I'm here to stay. My goal is to give hope. I hope that I do. Should I delete? I created a group. Let's see how this goes http://groups.blackplanet.com/ goodmendoinggoodthings

It has been a long time since I updated my personal message. I have met some good people on here. Many of which I could say are my friends. I have heard many stories of all the men that have made it tough for guys looking for good women. I would tell you that having a daughter makes you realize how you would want a man to treat your daughter. Makes me look closer at myself and ask myself. Would I want a man to say this or do this to my daughter? Or would I like for a man to do this and say this to her. So when she starts dating at 21(lol) I will help her to realize that she should not settle. My princess is getting older and I know she will push me away as she gets older, but right now I am enjoying these days.

BP, I WOULD LIKE FOR EVERYONE TO MEET THE TRUE LOVE OF MY LIFE, MY 6 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER, AMARIS. SHE KEEPS ME LIVING WITH HER SMILES, HUGS, AND KISSES. EACH DAY IS A LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR ME. BUT WORTH EVERY BIT. I WOULDN`T TRADE IT FOR THE WORLD. This poem was giving to me by my daughter on Father`s Day: For My Daddy Walk a little slower Daddy, said a child so small, I`m following in your footsteps and I don`t want to fall. Sometimes your steps are very fast, Sometimes they`re hard to see; So walk a little slower, Daddy, For you are leading me. Someday when I`m all grown up, You`re what I want to be; Then I will have a little child Who`ll want to follow me. And I would want to lead just right, And know that I was true, So walk a little slower, Daddy, For I must follow you." In short, Be an inspiration to your child. Be your child`s role model. Also, how about be a father to your child. Every man should be proud of his kid(s) and be in their life. Whether be financially or playing with a Barbie doll(when you know you want to scream "no way I'm a dude). If my daughter asks me to play with her dolls I would do it. For me raising my daughter is my responsibility and no court(s) will tell me to take care of my child. Child support- this is a touchy subject, but I will cover it anyway. I know some women may take a brother to court just out of spite, but there are some brothers out there that need a can of act right(patent pending). My daughter is a little diva and I know that I have to keep her looking like the doll that she is. If I have to spend more money on clothes than I do for myself; then so be it. Ladies I must apologize for my fellow brothers. We will get better.

Below I would also like to introduce everyone to the other love of my life and best friend, Amiris. Yeah it is a coincidence and they are not related. They do have similar names and they do have my heart. She has brought so much joy back into my life. I asked for this, and I prayed for this. What can I say, she has my heart and I trust her with it. It is truly amazing to find someone that makes you stop in your tracks and smile. She has that affect on me. I am so grateful for her for bringing so much happiness into my life.

Taking My Life To A New Level!

I`m just a brother out trying to get paid. Currently I am working a full-time job, but I am heading towards some huge opportunities. I recently opened my own business in two separate locations. How? See Rich Dad Link below.

Piece of advice for all the grown folks!

Stop buying for today and save for tomorrow. Instead of buying $10,000 rims, put that money in a college savings plan(ask your banker)or click on my favorites link for Fidelity. This will keep the kids from depending on student loans. Start the savings plan at age 1 or 2(start at any, just start). I don`t have a college degree, I wish I did. But nothing is going to hold me back. That is why I just started online classes with University of Phoenix. I have a little girl to look after.

"Free

Books that I have read:

Success One Day at a Time: by John C. Maxwell

Rich Dad Poor Dad "What the Rich Teach Their Kids That The Poor and Middle Class Don`t" By:Robert Kiyosaki

Other Books by same author:
CashFlow Quadrant
Rich Dad Guide To Investing
Retire Young Retire Rich
Real Estate Loopholes
Loopholes of the Rich

Just to name a few. It would be my advice to anyone who is tired of working for "Da Man" please pick up the first book mentioned. This book will change your life. I do not work for the publishers of these books and I am not affilated with the Rich Dad Company. I would like to be affiliated with all the money he is making. Just take the time and go out and buy the book for $16.95, I promise it will be the best investment you ever made. I read about five of his books and used what I learned to open up a business. Now, I`m not crazy. I still have my full-time job for now. Send me your email address and I will send you the first chapter of the book.

From the book:

"The Rich don`t work for Money" they let money work for them. Enough said...... Business before pleasure!

My Favorite Quote "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail" Please remember this quote! Another quote I like is "Goals are dreams with deadlines" WHO AM I?

Lot Of Respect For John Legend

Open Letter to the New York Post Dear Editor: I'm trying to understand what possible motivation you may have had for publishing that vile cartoon depicting the shooting of the chimpanzee that went crazy. I guess you thought it would be funny to suggest that whomever was responsible for writing the Economic Recovery legislation must have the intelligence and judgment of a deranged, violent chimpanzee, and should be shot to protect the larger community. Really? Did it occur to you that this... (continue reading)
