To Whom It May Concern: My name is Cleo Meekins. I am the Director of Helping Hands Recovery Center in Phoenix, Arizona. We are looking for Sponsors to help us open doors to Recovery in this city. I am a black man in a rural white community trying to open a sober living environment housing center for those recovering from alcohol and drugs. This has been quite the challenge due to the fact we have very few black folks in this area that have attempted to do what is needed. Although statically through our courts the numbers show that there is a GREAT need for an established transitional unit. Thiscity has nothing to help those with these needs and I am lead to make it happen as a non-profit organization. Beings we are a small town there is no industry or corporations that are able to help us out financially. I am in the process of writing grants and doing fundraisers. But it is the Widows Might that is getting us started at this point the average income is $ 17,000 and under for the families in this area. I do have a sight in mind, but it will take a little over $300, 000 to purchase this property, that will house a little over 40 men during their stay. The initial program is a 6 months In House Rehabilitation Center. While in this time program these men are required to give back to the community in which they are part of helping in any manner needed. Needless to say. I am able to provide you with any and all documentation needed for a charitable contribution made to Helping Hands Recovery Center which is Spiritually Based program for sober Living. . Please help us with any type of funding you have available or perhaps a contact person whom can help us bring this program to past. There are so many families affected by not having this program. We want to break that generational line that has been established through the leader of the household bound to addictions. We want healthy families and productive young adults to be become leaders in our community.
