I was born and raised in Richmond, VA. I am a single mother of one college man. I love writing and working with computers. I have been writing since I was a child. I am a recovered drug addict, and President of a non-profit organization. I have worked in the business field for over 10 years. I have an Associate's Degree in Business Administration. I am a public speaker on the topic of sexual abuse.I finally got enough courage to tell people about all the things that have happened to me. So, below is a book I wrote about my life. My first book entitled, Black Family Lies, is my life story and how I, as an African-American woman, triumphed over all the tragedies I struggled with in my life. I survived a traumatic past of child molestation, rape, drug addiction, homelessness, prostitution, as well as, physical, emotional and sexual abuse. As a result of doing my 12 steps, I found out I was the second generation of my family to encounter sexual abuse. While many people would have given up after such a traumatic discovery, I did further research and realized there are many African-American women who have experienced the same thing. I decided to help others by telling my story. My desire is that other women will identify with the main character of this book, and in turn, realize that they too can overcome their tragedies by exposing their Black Family Lies.
