Message from Barack: "How this happened"

Posted

Before his Election Night speech last night, Barack sent out this message to suppporters:

I'm about to head to Grant Park to talk to everyone gathered there, but I wanted to write to you first.

We just made history.

And I don't want you to forget how we did it.

You made history every single day during this campaign -- every day you knocked on doors, made a donation, or talked to your family, friends, and neighbors about why you believe it's time for... (continue reading)

As a concerned citizen certain parties of "The South" have not and will not welcome you to becoming the First and Only Black President. I am glad that I was able to be a part of history in the making. Due to the lack of uneducated parties I would rather you to minimize your visit's to the south because of the uneducated parties that are here. I feel that we the people of Tennessee are very fourtunate to have you as our president and hope this will change alot of ignorance and lack of knowledge. But me as a person I welcome u with open arms and love on your journey to make the USA a better place for us and our kids.

Despite an Obama win, why Tennessee bled red

There is something very sinister going on in Tennessee. The Tennessee GOP contradicted itself by first attempting to suppress information about registered gun owners; then post defeat, requesting the same information - in violation of the very privacy of those they sought to protect. Their stated intention was to use the list to make gun totin' voters aware of Tennessee Democrats stance on gun control and open records. Their hidden agenda, was to gain overwelming support and a mandate in Tennessee's NRA driven legislature, to expand gun rights for some; while expanding the classification of and penalties for gun related and other federal offenses for unlike others.

Using "the list", the Williamson County GOP, with the support of "special interest lobbyists," such as the NRA, Independence parties, and evangelical christians, led the country in its dissemination of deceptive information, demonizing Obama by falsifying links to "terrorism" and embellishing the evil of "liberalism" thereby creating mass hysteria among southern white voters. Not only did the GOP rally their base to vote GOP in the New South and beyond, but they also incited an inevitable riot, with the help of other reactionary groups in defense of "southern values."

As a result , scared whites bum rushed gun suppliers, driving up their stock in an otherwise struggling economy, purchasing handguns and tactical weapons, which are customarily used by military and police forces. The gun sellers now look forward to exploiting the Obama administrations desire to supply US forces with American made products. thereby enjoying a private "bull market."

Gone are the concerns for hunting four legged animals, like moose. These heavily armed consumers / citizen miliita and their market driven suppliers seem to have different targets in mind. Thanks to the Bush's GOP, gun sellers fear no reprisal. Lobbying efforts, have successfully insulated them from liability for any tragedy that might result from their sale of tactical arms, only recently legalized by the GOP.

I am outraged that our leaders would even consider (1) rewarding the greedy bankers with a liberal socialist bailout, proposed by otherwise ?free market non-interventionists? for a problem they caused, without (2) doing something to relieve the victims - citizen/consumers who were duped by the bankers into losing everything. The so-called ?real estate correction? was not the cause of financial institution failure, as Paulson and other GOP spinsters would have us believe. On the contrary, unregulated corporate greed and deceptive business strategies - blessed by supply side GOP economists - were the cause of the mortgage crises. Also, the GOP proposal to solve the problem by creating another unregulated institution is akin to putting a band aid on a wound that requires sutures. Ideological GOP policies caused this economic hemorrhage . Only pragmatic Democratic policies can provide relief. Good Luck Mr. Obama. You are not only the black candidate; but you are the best candidate for the job - in all respects. Even GOP lies can't take that away . . . There's a higher power at work here. God Bless.

A signer of the Declaration of Independence, which sparked the American Revolution, once wrote, "Every generation needs a revolution." Well, a revolution with Barack Obama at it's head, is raging now. And this revolution will be televised.
Also, I am a volunteer with the Obama camp in West Tennessee......vote, and become part of the new revolution to change the business of politics in Washington!
