Well, I've been engaged for almost 3 months now. So far, it's been a blast for the most part. Wedding plans are stressing the hell out of both of us at times, but hey, I won't complain about much of anything...I'm Grateful (she's not a total Bridezilla, YET)! But the thing I've learned the most is that it's vital to get to know the person you say you want to spend the remainder of your life with------and to do that, you must ask questions! Have to take a moment to clarify some things...My screen name says that I Used2beadog. This name means exactly what it says. If you've read the section below which describes who I am, then you'll know that my biggest regrets have been centered around the women I have hurt. It's the central reason I spend time now trying to empower men & women to value the process of choice, for our choices will determine our destiny... Recently, more & more people whom I've hurt in times past (be it last year, this year, or years gone by) are finding their way to contact me... Some through pretending to be others and some just coming to see if I've really changed. For whatever reasons, the fact remains that these past actions on my part are things I am in NO WaY proud of...I again apologize to any I've hurt emotionally, financially, spiritually, and/or mentally. I can't take any of it back. But Lord knows I wish I could. That which can be fixed, will be fixed! That which can't be fixed will be absorbed as the lesson it needs to be for me. I also apologize to my woman & my newer friends for any embarrassment my past may have brought to surface...... Most of the time, our past never goes farther than the shadows beside or behind us....So, again I apologize. I am truly remorseful. I usedbeadog. [I'll never ruin an apology with an excuse. Who am I? I am a semi-arrogant-azz dude with a crap load of past drama, who used to be a wannabe playa! Wow, that was brutally honest, huh?! Well, get over it. Because that is the type of honesty you get from me! Nearly jacked up my entire life, while walking around thinking I could do women any kind of way, and thinking I did not have to work hard as hell like the next guy! What the hell was I doing? Nearly tossed a premier education in the garbage; got locked up over & over for dumb sh-t; hurt some fabulous women; and frustrated the hell out of my family! Damn!
Fortunately, I came to my friggin' senses before it was too late. I turned that lifestyle around, went back to my roots, and I am rebuilding my integrity & career from a rock bottom immorality and gaining some fabulous REAL friends along the way. I have had a topsy-turvy love life. It's been as up and down as yours probably has been. I have gained love; lost love; regained love; killed love; restored love; lost faith in love; regained faith in GOD & love; and decided simply TO love! The overwhelming lesson learned: Just love! Now, I have mad love for my friends & love the hell out of my fiancee; and that's the bottomline!....And yes, I caused some people some real emotional trauma in times past (some recently), for which I have a great deal of remorse. Definitely wish I had a pocket full of "do-overs". Still dealing with the fall-out from some of that now. My fiancee might have to deal with the occasional, "Girl, you know he's a dog & a excon!" Nevertheless, men change when they get ready to change. And OMG, was I ready!!! Want to know about me? Well, I exist and thrive in church or masjids, kitchens, boardrooms,battlefields, reading rooms, chatrooms, classrooms, bathrooms (lol), my bedroom or hers, Kappa functions, dojos, server rooms, vip rooms (ones without lapdances),airports, 1st-class seating, fine men's apparel, gated communities, luxury vehicles, family reunions, close to my woman, raising my goddaughter, Obama-rallys, and in support of my friends & family! I am 6feet 2.5 inches of 'Iwishanickawould' ...and carrying around 214 lbs of 3rd Sandan (ask if you want to know). I am a martial-arts teaching, quadlingual, dual-Masters holding, DesignerTech consulting, adult-acne medicating, past record overcoming, but no longer bitter Black Man I truly USEDTOBE... Now that's who I am. Sugar or Sh-t. However you choose to perceive me makes no difference to me. I am concerned about reputation a little, but concerned about character a lot more! My friends know me to be a friend to the friendly, and my woman knows me to be a lover to my love. I profess to hate no things nor anyone, but that's the same lie many of us tell ourselves and others. My reality is that I try to hate what God hates. Let you think about that one for a minute....If you are still lost, go do you own Bible study on what God hates. I am not here for theology. (lol)
