Hi, my name is Marline and I am a student at the UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA.





I am studying to be a pediatrician or a child psychologist. I love meeting new people whether it be a friend or someone to date in the future. If you looking to talk to someone fun and exciting give me a holla.



I am a woman with many different talents and skills. I love to dance and play my saxophone. Music to me is like a way I can escape all the bad times I am having whether it be at home or at school. When I sit in my room I dream about all the different places I am going to travel one of these days. If you love to dream and want to talk about your dreams, write to me. The world is a crazy place but we as black people got to be able to stay together so we can over comethe obstacles and not be held back by those that are trying to keep us down.



I can`t say that I am looking for a serious boyfriend because I can never tell what God has planned for me but I know that you are welcome to be my new friend.

I love poetry. I am not one to write much poetry but I know how to recognize great work when I see it. I am big fan of the works by Jessie Fauset, Paul Dunbar, Langston Hughes and Nikki Giovanni...just to name a few. I will have a different poem from time to time but for now enjoy this one. This piece is no stranger to the literary world.





Ego Tripping

I was born in the congo

I walked to the Fertile Crescent and built the Sphinx

I designed a pyramid so tough that a star

That glows every one hundred years falls into

The center giving divine perfect light

I am bad



I sat on the throne

Drinking nectar with Allah

I got hot and sent an ice age to Europe

To cool my thirst.

My oldest daughter is Nefertiti

The tears from my birth pains created the Nile

I am a beautiful woman



I gazed on a forest and burned out the

Sahara Desert

With a packet ofgoat`s meat

And a change of clothes-

I crossed it in two hours

I am a gazelle so swift-

So swift - you can`t catch me



For a birthday present when he was three

I gave my son Hannibal an elephant -

He gave me Rome for Mother`s Day

My strength flows ever on



My son Noah built new/ark and

I stood proudly at the helm

As we sailed on a soft summer day

I turned myself into myself-

And was Jesus!

Men intone my loving name



Allpraises - All praises

I am the one who would save



I sowed diamonds in my backard

My bowels deliver uranium

The filings from my fingernails

Are semi-precious jewels

On a trip north I caught a cold and blew my nose

Giving oil to the Arab world

I am so hip - even my errors are correct

I sailed east to reach west - and had to round off the

Earth as I went

The hair from my head thinned and gold was laid

Acrossthree continents



I am so perfect, so divine, so ethereal, so surreal

I cannot be comprehended

Except by my permission



I mean ... I ... can fly

like a bird in the sky ...

Hand made by god

Smooth-spoken woman

Modeling and serving

She is conspicuous as a growing seed

She is solid as a rock

She is as wayfaring as an ant

She stirs, serves, and hastes on.

THE YEAR IS NOW 2002!!! IT IS TIME FOR CHANGES AND MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL. IT IS NOW THE TIME FOR ME TO GRADUATE AND MAKE A BETTER LIFE FOR MYSELF.
