Antsu-in-Japan

Hello, BlackPlanet!! I`m originally from Florida but live and work as a consultant for a wedding company in Japan (where I was just granted permanent residency). Ever dream of getting married in a kimono or traveling to the land of the rising sun to see a traditional festival? Just let me know.

When I`m not traveling or singing, I`m in the kitchen or studying something new! Check out the pictures I took of my very own homemade crabcakes and strawberry cream pie. The octopus salad was a dish created for me by a Japanese friend. Simply put, the food pictures are not desperate attempts to get any attention. I simply LOVE to cook good food...and being part 'southern belle' and all (a 1/4 cup Georgia and a pinch of Louisiana), I love doing my thing in the kitchen. Also, I recently graduated with a masters degree from the George Washington University School of Business (I was the valedictorian of my department... VERY proud about that!!). My specialties include Sports Management, Events/Meeting Management and Destination Management. My ultimate dream is to open a holistic spa (one that caters specifically to us Black folk!!) somewhere out in the countryside. You know...a place where we can get away from it all with clean air, delicious organic food, exercise, massage and pampering like you've never experienced!

At 44, I feel FABULOUS and sense that I am only getting better. I love to travel (see pictures of Hawaii, Paris and Peru below...and check out my map). As for foreign languages, I speak Japanese, as well as a little French, Korean and Arabic. In addition to racquetball, working out, massage and cooking, I enjoy reading, making pottery, bowling, canoeing and camping, watching sports (basketball, baseball and football!!), volunteering in my community and surrounding myself with positive, caring people. I truly value my family and friends...they are priceless. Life is a very short gift so I don't dare waste it being a negative, dishonest person. Though I consider myself to be a patient, understanding woman, I simply have no tolerance for social, racial, religious or environmental injustice. I am a strong believer in the notion that what you send out returns ten-fold, as well as what is done secretly in the dark will eventually come to light.

I consider myself to be pretty focused, hard-working and down-to-earth. I've had many accomplishments: from appearing on national Japanese television to singing for the Japanese Emperor's daughter; arranging for Magic Johnson to come to my city in Japan to hanging out here with Chaka Khan (Can you believe I made macaroni & cheese for her!! And yessssss...she LOVED it!!) My life to date has been nothing short of incredible... but I feel my biggest personal accomplishments are yet to come. Best wishes to you on your quests as well.
