Hello Family, On Friday August 19, 2005 the Baltimore Meet & Greet family will be celebrating our 3rd Anniversary of meeting, greeting and having fun here in Baltimore. looking back over the years we`ve collected quite a few special memories. If you look at the pictures from any party, you`ll be able to capture the moments and repeat the sentiments of most....BALTIMORE SURE KNOWS HOW TO PARTY! On a more personal note, I would have to say that my two favorite things about the past 3 years has been meeting so many of you and having the opportunity to "PARTY WITH A PURPOSE" by giving back to the community. As far as giving back, I applaud you all for participating in the fundraising efforts that we`ve had thus far. As a family we collected school supplies for the children returning to school in the fall, we fed the hungry for Thanksgiving, we gave toys to underpriviledged children at Christmas time, we collected cellular telephones to aid victims of domestic violence, we made cash donations to the burial fund for the Dawson family when they were killed in a fire, cash donations for the famly of Marciana Ringo when this beautiful 8 year old girl was killed and we collected money for the burial fund for one of our fallen BP members, Tamira Hughes when she was murdered last year. We called to make a change, and you answered. On behalf of myself, Brian, Carl, Jackie and Troy...THANK YOU ALL FOR EVERYTHING!!!!! As we move into the future, we will be changing our format for the Baltimore Meet & Greets. After this meet and greet, we will be doing our events quarterly or tri-annually instead of every month. Each month will have a theme and with each meet and greet we will continue to "party with a purpose" by giving back to the community in some way. We will seek out new locations and bigger and better events to keep you in "Charm City" over the weekend! The next and FINAL monthly Baltimore Meet & Greet will be on Friday, August 19, 2005 at the Holiday Inn- Baltimore West. It will begin at 8:00 PM and continue on until 2:00 AM!Since this will be the last one for a while, we are going to make sure to have as much fun as possible. This party will be our annual PAJAMA JAMMY JAM! We`ll have contests, prizes and suprises that you won`t want to miss! The bartender will be mixing up some special shooters just for us so be prepared to get your drink on! In our tradition of "giving back" we will be collecting school supplies for our youngsters as they head back to school for the fall. Please be so kind as to pick up some school supplies to help with our school supply drive. Things like spiral notebooks, notebook paper, composition notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons, rulers, calculators, binders, construction paper, folders, clear bookbags, tape, markers, highliters, dictionarys, colored pencils, erasers, supply pouches, protractors notebook dividers or any other school supplies you might think of would be greatly appreciated. We have members who have offered to donate new and rebuilt computers, monitors, keyboards and printers!!! We are looking forward to getting our young folks off to a good start! * Music will be played by Baltimore`s own DJ Smooth B, Johhny Blaze of WHUR and other guest DJ`s! * $5 early bird special from 8:00 until 9:00, and $10 for EVERYONE after 9:00 Drink specials and a delicious complimentary buffet served! There will also be a lite-fare menu available if you would like to order something else. The Holiday Inn has graciously extended us a room rate of only $79 for Friday night. The Baltimore Meet & Greet`s are always on the 3rd Friday of the month. Is There An Age Requirement? TheBaltimore Meet & Greets tend to attract people from age 25-70 something. YES, someones grandmother came to one of the M&G`s and had a ball!Our goal was the 30 & Over age group but ALL over 21 years of age are welcome. How Can I Join Your Committee? Right now we have all of the committee members that we need. When we start doing larger eventsin the future, we may ask those who are interested to join us. How Should I contact You?
