Now to better things.. In the BUZZ ROOM there was a forum titled the best women groups of all time. It had me thinking about music and what I like. So, I have decided to do MY TOP TEN RAP ARTIST or GROUP of ALL TIME. So, we ready?? Lets go.



10. OutKast


Andre "STONE COLD" 3000 and Big Boi. The Dirty South Pioneers along with Luke, The Geto Boys, and Jermaine Dupree have made the South into the hip hop powerhouse what it is today. They posess the most unusual, but FLYEST sound probably of all hip hop groups. They are the only rap group where EVERY album produced has turn PLATINUM. The Love below/Speakerboxx went DIAMOND+ some more. Which makes them the most sucessful rap group of all time along with RUN DMC.

9. NAS


One of the coolest rappers out there. Doesnt do a lot of smack talking. Lets his rhymes do the speaking for him. Illmatic is the BEST RAP ALBUM OF ALL TIME. Since he is from a Musical family, its no surprise that he is Deeper thinker than most rappers today. The NAS vs. Jay Z beef was wild, but NAS beat the stew out of the jigga man with ether.

8. A Tribe Called Quest

Q-Tip, Phife Dawg, Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Jarobi. These brothas here set off a movement that Paralleled Public Enemy and Ice Cube. The black pride movement was anchored with groups like the Tribe. Focusing on issues such as the definition of a N*gger, date rape, STD's and etc. They were one most sucessful rap groups in history.

7. Busta Rhymes

This brotha here is off the chain.. His loud and voicetrous style of rap is his trademark. His adlibs are just as famous.. Woo ha, ya, Bwah and other yells he comes off the dome with. Chuck D gave him his name after NFL player George "Buster" Rhymes.

6. Jay Z

Now this is one of these brothas who has got his fingers in everything. Music, World Affairs, Business, Sports, etc. He is one of the best rappers that can "word play" AKA similes I've seen next to NAS and B.I.G. Poppa. He is the most popular rapper today that didnt get a record deal.

5. NOTORIOUS B.I.G. (1972-1997)

I love this brotha's Life after death album. His smooth flow and easy going style made him a easy rapper to listen to along with his life experiences dealing with firearms, drugs and his child were most eye opening. He is the ONLY rapper with a DIAMOND AKA 10x Platinum CD. Life after Death is the highest selling hip hop album for a solo artist in US.

4. Tupac (1971-1996)

This is one of these brothas that has been through so much in his short life, its no wonder why he wrote so much music and is still releasing music even in death to this day. I admired him because unlike a lot of other rappers, he truly didnt give a DAMN what you thought of him. He has two 9x Platinum CD's "All eyez on me" and "greatest hits".

3. Redman

Known as the Clown Prince of Hip hop Reggie Noble has more Aliases than any rapper I know. He is the most UNDERATED rapper in HIP HOP. His comedic P-FUNK style of rap will have you rewinding the CD to hear what he said again and again. Especially the "Supa Man luva" Series. Trivia: Redman is black and Asian. His Mother is Korean.

2. Ice Cube

My favorite WEST COAST rapper. This brotha doesnt use word play, similes, Metaphors, NOTHING. Very BOLD and BRASH in your face style which is what made him as popular as he is today. Like Jay Z, he has his fingers in more than music. He makes Movies, Producing, directing and acting and He has his own movie production company. His next movie is Welcome Back Kotter.

1. Public Enemy

I can listen to this group all day, EVERYDAY.. Chuck D has a trademark voice you will never forget and Flava Flav is the most popular hype man in HIP HOP. It was this group and their socially aware music that made me become more AFRCOCENTRIC today. Chuck D said rap music is Black America' s CNN. PE has had more influence over rap groups and solo artist such as Kool Moe Dee, Gang Starr, X Clan, Eric B & Rakim, Queen Latifah, the Jungle Brothers, A Tribe Called Quest, Young Black Teenagers, Ice T, Ice Cube, KRS One, Digable Planets, Paris, etc.

Godzilla is one of my favorite charaters and like him, if one of my BP ALL STAR buddies would ever need me all they have to do is call my name. And if you need me to come regulate on somebody in person, I will gladly do that too..:) But you have to pay my airfare..LOL!!

Goapele in my opinion is the BEST LOOKING and a BIGGER TALENT than somebody like Beyonce Knowles. We for the most part have been sleeping on her too. Her first album is the BOMB!! TRUST ME.. Her second album is out and it is FIRE also. You need to get it. If you want to listen to music that is uplifting to OUR people, inspirational, with a message and controversial at the same time, go get her CD. If you want to hear about how I want a thug in my life, bootylicious, I got a soldier, or any sexxin song with no paticular message.. THEN LISTEN TO BEYONCE.. I am not making no JUDGEMENTS, I am simply showing you the difference.
