HTML_Magic4U in 5 Easy Steps!

Hello My People :-),

I would like to give a shout-out of PRAISE to "Angry_Lover" and "Emerald 7", 2 (or 1) of The Most BRILLIANT Web Designers that have ever graced the pages of The BlackPlanet Community.....without their guidance many of the outstanding pages that are here today.....would not exist!!!!! Where oh where have they gone :-(

Here are the "HTML" codes that are used to add music, new backgrounds, scrolling text, animation, graphics and photos to your page. "HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language)" codes send signals that instruct your computer to add music, backgrounds, scrolling text, text designs, animation, graphics or photos to your page. Follow the steps that I have outlined and remember to type the codes EXACTLY, EXACTLY, EXACTLY as they are written or they WILL NOT WORK.......WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU TYPE!!!!! Include all spaces, quotation marks, parentheses, hyphens, periods, colons, forward slashes, arrows, UPPER and lower case letters. You`ll have to OMIT ALL ASTERISKS (**) within the "HTML code due to the fact that this page is "HTML" Enabled, which means that your computer would attempt to activate the code if I wrote it out fully without the ASTERISKS(**) and you would not be able to see the code that I`ve written. Just remember to OMIT ALL ASTERISKS (**)within the code. Now, LET`S GET BUSY!!



"HTML" Code for Adding Music :

1)Go to your "MAIN" page and click on the "Edit" icon at the bottom left of the page. Next, click on "Personal Message" in the area to the left.

2) Type the following "HTML" code into your page`s "Personal Message" area EXACTLY as it is written. The name of the musical selections is "If This World Were Mine" sung by "Luther Vandross". See if you can make this work......if so, I`ll explain later how you can change the selection to something, more to your liking. Be sure to OMIT the TWO SETS OF ASTERISKS (**)in the "HTML" code when you type it into your "Personal Message" area! Bling Bling, Wobble Wobble! Here`s the code:

3) After entering your new "HTML" code, you must click on the "Refresh (Reload)" icon in your browser to activate the "HTML" code you`ve entered. If "Refresh (Reload)" doesn`t work, try rebooting your computer. If you`ve typed the "HTML" code EXACTLY as it is written, with the exception of OMITTING the TWO SETS OF ASTERISKS (**), you should be listening to the musical selection "If This World Were Mine" sung by "Luther Vandross". Changing Your Musical Selection:

1) In order to change your musical selection, you can click on one of the "music" links which are located in the "Favorite Links" area of this page and browse the selections for music more to your liking!

2) Once you`ve made a choice, simply place your cursor on that choice and click on your "RIGHT" mouse button.

3) Go down to the word "Properties", click on your "LEFT" mouse button and a window will appear which displays the EXACT "URL (Web Address)" of the particular musical selection.

4) Now, all you have to do is return to the "Personal Message" area of your "MAIN" page and replace the "URL (Web Address)" ONLY, which is located between the FIRST set of QUOTATION MARKS " " in the "Music" code..... starts with ("http://www.).

5) Click on the "Refresh (Reload)" icon in your browser to activate the new "HTML" code that you`ve entered. If "Refresh (Reload)" doesn`t work, try rebooting your computer.



"HTML" Code for Adding a New Background:

1) Go to your page and click on the "Edit" icon at the bottom left of the page.

2) When the next page appears, look to your left and click on "Personal Message".

3) Type the following "HTML" code at the very top of your "Personal Message" area, EXACTLY as it is written except for the FIVE SETS OF ASTERISKS(**), which MUST BE OMITTED when typing in the "HTML" code. Here`s the code:

4) After entering the "HTML" code, you must enter your password and click on the"Submit" button which is located at the bottom of the "Personal Message" window.

5) Click on the "Refresh (Reload)" icon in your browser to activate the"HTML" code you`ve entered. If "Refresh (Reload)" doesn`t work, try rebooting your computer. If you`ve typed the "HTML" code EXACTLY as it is written, with the exception of OMITTING the FIVE SETS OF ASTERISKS (**),you shouldbeviewinga copyof the background from this page, onyour page.



Changing Your Background Selection:

1) In order to change your background selection, you can click on one of the "Background" links which are located in the "Favorite Links" area of this page and browse the selections for a new background!

2) Once you`ve made a choice, simply place your cursor on that choice and click on your "RIGHT" mouse button.

3) Go down to the word "Properties", click on your "LEFT" mouse button and a window will appear which displays the EXACT "URL (Web Address)" of the particular background selection.

5) Enter your password and click on the "Submit" button which is located at the bottom of the "Personal Message" window. Click on the "Refresh (Reload)" icon in your browser to activate the new "HTML" code you`ve entered. If "Refresh (Reload)" doesn`t work, try rebooting your computer.



"HTML" Code forAdding Scrolling Text:

1) Go to your page and click on the "Edit" icon at the bottom left of the page.

2) When the next page appears, look to your left and click on "Personal Message".

3) Type the following "HTML" code into your "Personal Message" area EXACTLY as it is written except for the FOUR SETS OF ASTERISKS (**), which MUST BE OMITTED when typing in the "HTML" code. Take intoconsideration thatthe scrolling text will appear on your page, exactly where you`ve typed the "HTML" code into your "Personal Message" area. Here`s the code:

<**MARQUEE BEHAVIOR alternate=type DIRECTION right=value LOOP=infinite**>"FAITH is...daring your SOUL...to go BEYOND...what your EYES can see!!!"<**/MARQUEE**>

Any text that you type between the first greater than arrow > and the second less than arrow <, will scroll across your page, beginning on the right side and scrolling in a left direction. If you`d like to see your text scroll up, simply replace "type Direction right" in the code, with "type Direction up" or down or left.....your choice!

4) After entering the "HTML" code, you must enter your password and click on the "Submit" button which is located at the bottom of the "Personal Message" window.

5) Click on the "Refresh (Reload)" icon in your browser to activate the "HTML" code you`ve entered. If "Refresh (Reload)" doesn`t work, try rebooting your computer. If you`ve typed the "HTML" code EXACTLY as it is written, with the exception of OMITTING the FOUR SETS OF ASTERISKS (**), you should be viewing these words ("FAITH is...daring your SOUL...to go BEYOND...what your EYES can see!!!"), scrolling across your page. See the example below:

"HTML" Code for Adding Animation, Graphics or other Images:

1) Go to your page and click on the "Edit" icon at the bottom left of the page.

2) When the next page appears,look to your left and click on"Personal Message".

3) Type the following "HTML" code into your "Personal Message" area, EXACTLY as it is written except for the TWO SETS OF ASTERISKS (**),which MUST BE OMITTED whentypingin the "HTML" code. Take into consideration that theanimation or graphics will appear on your page, exactlywhere you`ve typed the "HTML" code into your "Personal Message" area. Here`s the code:

This "HTML" code is actually the easiest one of all and only consist <**IMG SRC=**>.........you select an animation or graphic and insert it`s "URL (Web Address)" into the "HTML" code as shown above.

4) After entering the "HTML" code, you must enter your password and click on the "Submit" button which is located at the bottom of the "Personal Message" window.

5) Click on the "Refresh (Reload)" icon in your browser to activate the "HTML" code you`ve entered. If "Refresh (Reload)" doesn`t work, try rebooting your computer. If you`ve typed the "HTML" code EXACTLY as it is written, with the exception of OMITTING the TWO SETS OF ASTERISKS (**), you should be viewing a Dancing Baby animation on your page.
