The drinks are flowing and the ladies are looking sexy, insert a Greg Campbell track and the scene is complete; thats what Greg is known for bringing the final visual effects to the picture through his music. Born Gregory Campbell, on January 29th 1983, in New York, Greg got his vocal chords wet singing in church, the honing ground for many an artist. Upon moving to Miami in 1989 he instantly became recognized for his brandished musical ability when he began singing at his North Miami Seventh Day Adventist church, where he was involved in solo performances and concerts as well as with his church choir. After graduating from North Miami High School at the age of 17, Greg enrolled into the Marines, where he spent two and a half years becoming more disciplined and struggling to maintain his eccentricity by constantly seeking to better himself. Being the eldest of 5 children, Greg Campbell understands his role of responsibility and never waivers to adapt to others, but creates his own technique. Upon his departure from the Marines, Greg began recording R&B club tracks in January 2003. Musically Greg is influenced by Brian McKnight whom he has shared a lot of his beginnings in that they both came from a SDA household and branched off into R&B. What sets Greg apart from other artists is his creativity in writing; he not only developed a specialty in writing R&B tracks but also delves into the pool of alternative rock. By just supplying a beat, Greg can quickly and effective grasp a concept and turn a simple harmony into a distinguishable and radio rotation-worthy track. His style of music usually sets the tone for any upbeat, sensual, and definitely danceable meeting. Greg Campbell gets the party started, the club poppin, and everyone excited, with his melodic yet energized voice. His writing skills are also an important part of Gregs musicality, he vividly envisions his songs as he writes them turning them into musical pictorial sessions. Some of his musical engagements have allowed him to display his artistry. Just to show his versatile music ability Greg won a Britney Spears Talent Contest on South Beach and it was viewed on Showtime before they aired her Onyx Tour. He recently performed in a 99 Jamz hosted show in Florida City with fellow Miami artist Pitbull and Reggae Artist Redrat. He also showcased his talent at the Millenium Ballroom with Carlton Coffee, and has even sung for Florida Representatives and officials, and North Miami Mayor Joe Celestine at a Banquet for Professional Group Home, Inc. Greg Campbell is a musical businessman, writing and becoming deeply involved with the tracks produced. His style is reminiscent of Montell Jordan and R. Kelly, but hes proved to step out of barriers of musical conformity and has set his own guidelines. So its time to recognize talent when it is showcased, not giving into the narcolepsy of receiving new artists and get ready to move your body and relax your mind courtesy of Greg Campbell.
