  Hi! I'm LaNe' (La Nay), the author of DREAMS of a BUSHMASTER, the first book of The Bushmaster trilogy! WELCOME TO MY PAGE! I never thought about becoming a writer when I was in school. Even though, I carried a spiral notebook filled with poems and short stories that I'd written. I saw myself as becoming a scientist that discovered the 'Fountain of Youth' or some great inventor. Well, reality set in and I realized that I wasn't willing to work that hard and besides it was boring. So, I decided to major in education and become a teacher. While teaching, it still didn't occur to me even though I wrote plays, narrations, monologues and poems for my students to perform during PTA and various programs. My epiphany came while placing gold sequins on a plastic mask that I was making to take to the Mardi Gras to sell. I spent many hours that summer on my screened in back porch working on those masks, when it occurred to me that gravity was taking a toll on my face. "Wait a minute", I said, "This is not going to work, I need something that can be duplicated. Let's see, a novel can be duplicated. That's it I'm going to write a novel, I've always enjoyed writing."
