My name is Mylikia and I`m 27 years old and a God loving woman. I grew up in Detroit Michigan but moved to the Nashville area of Tennessee a year ago. I have two beautiful children I have been gratefully blessed with. Unfortunately, I`m divorced. Not a fantasy I had as a child but "life happens". One thing I can say is that through that experience, I found an awesome relationship with the greatest friend I could ever have, GOD!
At first I wondered why this happened to me. But, I`m thankful for my storm, because it taught me to one, have faith and two, trust God and believe in his word. It`s funny how we as people have a whole plan for our lives, and trip when it doesn`t manifest. We don`t realize that our plan may not be God`s plan. And believe me God`s plan will be most fulfilling. So, like I said before, I`m thankful for my storm, because now I know God like I never knew him before!!! So this is how I see myself now is: We all have witnessed a summer storm. The sky is dark and cloudy; it's raining and noisy from the thunder. Then abruptly, the clouds past, the rain stops, the sky brightens, the air becomes crisp, there is a sudden quite except for the singing of birds, and it seems like the sun is smiling on your face. That`s me, that`s were I`m at!!! And I give all the credit to God! Isaiah 40:31 - But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Romans 8:31 - What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Psalms 27:1 - The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalms 119:133 - Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. John 14:15 - If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 15:10 - If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father`s commandments, and abide in his love. BE BOLD SAINTS, AND WALK IN THE LOVE OF GOD!!! ~2006~ These past couple of years have taught me a wise lesson. I have learned to enjoy life moment by moment, not letting anything come between me and life. Life is really too short to let anyone rob you of it. I have had countless negative encounters that have left me "salty" for days or even longer. But now I manage not to get annoyed. To feel sorry for people who take pleasure in making others miserable. It is truly sad. As people we have more affect on each other than we realize. So take advantage of it, make some one smile, or heaven forbid, laugh!!! Life is what you make of it. No! It's not perfect. There are a lot of things wrong with life, BUT there are more things right with it!!! Take time to notice, appreciate, nurture, and respect it! Life is fun. Life is intriguing.
