WeTHRIVE! is community wellness in action, a movement designed to improve nutrition and increase physical activity for all residents of Hamilton County. Get Involved! Join the movement at www.WatchUsThrive.org
WeTHRIVE! is a collaborative project that is building the foundation for healthy communities in Hamilton County. Hamilton County Public Health (HCPH), Cincinnati Children's, YMCA of Greater Cincinnati, Nutrition Council of Greater Cincinnati and the Center for Closing the Health Gap are working together with communities to initiate policy, systems and environmental changes that will positively impact the health of our residents. WeTHRIVE! is funded primarily by three national grants held by HCPH: Center for Disease Control's (CDC) Strategic Alliance for Health, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Healthy Kids Healthy Communities and CDC's Communities Putting Prevention to Work.
WeTHRIVE! is a county-wide movement to change policies, systems and environments to improve the overall health of Hamilton County residents. Community partners, schools, businesses, churches, elected officials and residents are coming together to encourage physical activity and healthy eating, while decreasing tobacco use and exposure to secondhand smoke. By making these changes, Hamilton County citizens will be putting their best foot forward in the fight against obesity, heart disease, diabetes and other chronic diseases that place our children and our future at risk.
