Hello BP,

I first want to say that I'm here to meet new people. I am always interested in what other people are doing in the world. I am always happy meeting and talking with new people. This is a great place to meet and greet other african american individuals. I have had a good time on this website visiting and chatting in the blogs on different websites. I've had ups and downs like anyone else but I always remember that what doesn't kill me makes me stronger. I have traveled the world and lived in Chicago and other places when I was traveling around the country. I always loved coming back to "Sweet Home Chicago." I am educated and have a wealth of knowledge and history about our city, and I love to share that knowledge with whoever will listen. So if you want to have a stimulating conversation without all of the negative stereotypes and anger that most of these "youngsters" have then drop me a line, and we can talk. Until then I leave you with this poem.

RELEASED:
THE BARS HAVE BEEN CRANKED OPEN,
I HAVE BEEN RELEASED,
THE COLLAR HAS BEEN BROKEN,
AWAY FROM THE LEASH,
THE SHACKES ARE LOOSENED,
AWAY FROM MY FEET,
AND MY MIND HAS WASHED,
AWAY ALL OF THE DECEIT.
I USED TO THINK THAT IF I STAYED,
I WOULD BE HAPPY AND
TROUBLES WOULD FADE.
BUT I FELT CAGED,
AND I WAS AFRAID,
AND FELT SO BETRAYED,
THAT I STARTED TO PRAY.
AND SO WITH GOD I HAD A CHAT,
I ASKED FOR ANSWERS, HE TOLD ME THAT
I SHOULDN'T GIVE THINGS OUT,
THAT I CAN'T TAKE BACK.
ITS NOT WHERE YOU WERE,
ITS WHERE YOU'RE AT.
SUDDENLY I STOOD UP FROM THE FLOOR,
KNOWING I SHOULD HAVE PRAYED,
MORE THAN BEFORE, I HAVE NO
PROBLEMS OR PAIN NO MORE.
YES, I HAVE BEEN RELASED AND
THANKS TO GOD, I'M OUT THE DOOR. LATER
