It's been awhile since I wrote anything on my blog, as things have been fairly hectic here in Canada land.

This week I was spoiled from an entertainment point of view. I had a chance to see some very good musicians, listen to some dynamic, engaging singers and see some of the work of a hard-working, up and coming magician. All of these people are in Montreal, Quebec (that's in Canada - lol!).

Just want to say hello to all of you on BlackPlanet. I am looking forward to making friends, sharing our common experiences and learning from you.
I am an artist working in film/TV as a performer and I am a singer/songwriter too. My musical influences range from James Brown, Otis Redding and Motown to Seal, Doobie Bros, Miles, Bill Withers... - Blues, Funk, Gospel, Jazz, Soul and Rock. It is a nice eclectic mix of sounds and grooves. As a budding filmmaker, I am currently writing screenplays to bring more of our stories out into the mainstream. Stay tuned on that.
Politics: Liberal. I believe that government should help the citizens reach their full potential by using the nation's resources responsibly and for the benefit of the country they are leading, while acknowledging, understanding and respecting the global impact of their decisions. An accountable government is a responsible government. I believe that true, sustainable prosperity is possible when the government helps to create the conditions for success with good legislation and leads with realistic inspiration and optimism, to encourage people to be their best.
Just so it is clear: I think that Obama is doing a great job. Too bad he isn't Canadian. Perhaps his leadership style, his calm, empathetic nature combined with his realistic, far reaching goals for the USA will be something the leaders in Canada will find as inspiring as people around the world have.
