personal message

I am Minister Tonja L. Scott-Pate. I have made it a crusade to tell others what I have been through in my life. Hoping and praying that it will touch someone along the way. Letting others know how important it is to share love with one another has become a strong motto for me. We are our brothers keeper. I spend a good part of my day telling others about being transformed by the life I found in Jesus Christ. I have vowed to let as many people as I can know that drugs, alcohol, and suicide is not the answer.

I enjoy life and living for Jesus Christ. I truly enjoy the blessings and the new life that God has given me. The message will always remain the same, Jesus comes first in my life and choices. You can choose to allow your circumstances in life to defeat you; or you can learn from them and help others with your knowledge of personal growth. I have learned to love life and get the best out of it and I do not fear death. Because, I know who holds the key to life and death. Life is too short to use it for negative purposes. I have shared the truth of Jesus Christ with many that walked in darkness in the past. I want you all to know that He is real. I know because of what He has done in my life. It is all about "Faith". Either you believe it or you don't. I am not here to make anyone believe. I am here to encourage you to believe. There is a blessing in walking in truth. Your life can be enriched or it can be lost. The choice is yours. Jesus doesn't force Himself on anyone. If you choose to live your life in darkness, then so be it.

Take the time to read, "Come Walk In My Lost Shoes." It will make you think very hard about your next move. If you want to walk in the light and carry the torch for yourself, then I will light your torch with the knowledge of the truth. This truth was given to me by The Holy Spirit. Freely it was given to me. Freely I give it to you.

I am the published author of, "Come Walk In My Lost Shoes." I wrote this book to show that no matter what circumstances we find ourselves in this life, we don't have to allow it to ruin the future that God has planned for us. When I was told that I could be anything that I wanted to be, I believed it with all my heart.

I refused to allow the family curse of alcoholism and drug addiction to ruin my chances of reaching my goals of happiness. This book talks about my life with my mother, who was a heroin addict, as well as, my father(who was killed when I was 7 years old). It also explains why it is so important for us, as black mothers to pay close attention to the children that we are blessed to bring into this world. It is a blessing from God to be trusted enough to take the spirit of a child of His and be a steward over that life. A child is a very precious gift from our Creator. It is not ours to abandon, abuse or misuse.
