Hey there!

Just went to check my own page out, and it`s the ugliest around, so I guess I could at least add some color!

Anyway, my deal is that I have too many days off this year, and too many places to go to, and too much food to eat, and too many people to meet, but the problem is - life is too short! No time!

So, I live in Bosnia, ex Yugoslavia, and work as a translator. I wish i had more time to get everywhere and do everything I want to do!

:-)

I love people. I love Dennis Rodman. I love my girlfriends!

I love to read - I`m reading "Awakening" by Kate Chopin, and "Beloved", by Toni Morrison, right now.

here are some excerpts from my favorite book of all times - definitely check it out if you ever have time - The Fortress, by Mesa Selimovic.

:-)

"...i preffered life to thinking about it."

"...fear was the greatest shame in this world and man`s greatest humiliation, raised above him like a whip, pointed at his throat like a knife. Man is surounded by fear as by flame, drowned in it, as in water. He fears fate, the morrow, the law, a stronger man; and he isn`t what he wants to bebut what he has to be. He fawns before fate, prays to the morrow, blindly follows the law, smiles humbly at the man in power whom he hates, reconciled to being a monstrous creation made up offear and obedience."

"would my children tread the same miserable path when they grew up?

would they live as stupidly as their fathers did?

in all probability they would, but i refused to believe it.

i refused to believe, but i couldn`t free myself from apprehension."

"your thoughts are your own, actions belong to everybody."

"freedom lay in action..."

"how can people change so much, that in a moment one stands dumbstruck and asks oneself inamazement: who are these people? they can`t be those men whom i knew two years ago."

"if man was sometimes sad, it was because he recalled himself as he was in his dreams, as he could have been, were he not as he was. andif the world were not what it is."

"everything human is complicated, and no one could say of anyone that they were completely right or completely wrong.(all that is obvious is the injustice that humiliates and kills men, but nobody ever touches that.)"

"...the more laws there were, the more criminals..."

"opportunity makes thieves...and thieves create opportunity."

"if i`d betrayed him, i`d destroy myself; if i destroyed him, i`d betray myself.

i could do neither one nor the other, and there was no third way."

"-don`t you like bosnia?

-no.

-then why don`t you settle in venice?

-perhaps i`d come to hate it too."

"people are wicked children: wicked in action, children in mind. and it`ll never be any different."

"...reasons are forgotten, only the act is remembered."

"who ever remained same after a victory? and who ever gained any experience out of defeat? nobody."
