My Fury

Posted

Hello BP Family, how are you doing? It's rare when I reach this level of anger when it comes to ignorance and racism, and usually when I do, I don't just step on just a few individuals toes, I usually obliterate my foes until they are nothing more than atoms.

Just recently, I went to look at some videos on youtube and I got a message asking me about my opinion of the late and great, Michael Jackson. My response

"I think Michael Jackson not only broke the barriers of music we know and love today, but I also believed that he was a great human being. Yes, we all made mistakes in life that we're not proud of but if we are able to look passed that and move on, we will realize how great life can be and how easy going we really are"

I got a message back giving me props on the words but he sent me a vid that angered me to the point, I actually had to do something else to dumb down my rage. Bill O'Reilly recent interviewed Rev. Al Sharpton, and the subject was on Michael Jackson. Now, my personal opinion of both of them isn't very high to begin with but since this was a debate, I figured, one out of the two would make sense and Rev Al Sharpton gained props with me for what he said in the interview and O'Reilly, like always, never seems to make sense but in this case... he really pissed me off.

O'Reilly seems to believe that Michael Jackson shouldn't be glorified the way he is now because and I quote, "He's not a black man, he was white, with a white family, arrogant and he shouldn't be praised for it." Now this is when I actually wished O'Reilly would die right on the spot because race SHOULD NEVER be an issue when it comes to accomplishments, and any time you use race to counter against a person's work, you are the biggest fool in the world. I couldn't care less WHAT RACE Michael Jackson was, he still made great music, influenced billions and broken barriers in music and changed it forever. Now my question is, what has Bill O'Reilly done with his life? He has a show on Fox? I can do that too, as a matter of fact, I don't even need Fox, that's what YouTube is for and personally, YouTube has more viewers than Fox could EVER dream of.

You would think after decades later, race should never be an issue but alas... we still have people living in the past, and it doesn't stop there, no... I also read on an artical that about 65 black kids got kicked out of a swimming pool because of minority rules. Now, last I checked, there's no such thing as a minority by logic definition, that word has been made for shadowing racist intentions and as you can see, it's not doing a good job for shadowing it.

But what irritates me the most throughout this entire ordeal is, they can say or do whatever they want but when it's flipped on a different script, lawsuits get smacked in people's faces. Now I'm not trying to start a long standing race war or anything of that nature, but the way I see it, no one can really understand a person unless you get to know them and their struggle. I know someone made a statement that "racism is over", that will never happen because the media only shows the negatives of a race(s) and continues to press on it, time and time again, making matters worse. Truthfully, in order for those fools to really grasp the fact what a race card feels like on them, let them be subject to massive amounts of abuse because of skin color. It isn't right by any means to stoop so low, just to get the uphand on something small, because in the end, none of that really matters. In the end, people will die and they can't take anything with them so why fight endless over something so damn small? It's pathetic and the only way people can overcome this nonsense is if you put the bullshyt to the side, ignore the stereotype rumors and embrace a person for WHO they are, and not WHAT they are.

(Racism) First and Foremost, anything that's racist, I'm going to object to it because there's no reason TO be racist. In my personal opinion, anytime you have to be racist in any situation, somewhere along the lines, you haven't come to wits with the fact that we're all human and alike in some way, plus, the racism jokes is about 500 yrs old, come with something new, ok folks? __________________________________________________________________ (Obama) Great guy, no doubt, seems like the only person in a position of power whose actually fulfilling his promises. Kudos Mr. President __________________________________________________________________ (Sexy Spec) First of all, that video not ONLY burned my eyes to extinction and fossilized my brain into scrap-heep but it also angered me because of this main reason, he's not being real with himself. Somewhere along the lines, the truth is going to come out, now from what I got from the video, I'm assuming he's trying to come out the closet, but to go on tv, radio and etc and lie about it is just plan dumb. Be real with yourself and everyone will love you for who you are, but always remember one thing, if you don't love yourself, how do you expect others to love you? _________________________________________________________________ (Today's music) Music is music, it's what you make it, my opinion, I love it to some extent. I wish there was more variety that makes it to the mainstream but beggers can't be choosers, therefore, I'll appreciate what comes out. _________________________________________________________________ (Individuality) Being yourself is, hands-down, the most "popular-hated" and "loner-loved" trait a person can have. I like when a person is being themselves because it shows that you love yourself and you're not afraid to do you, regardless of what anyone says. What I dislike is the followers, be yourself. Never look for anyone's opinion of yourself, you'll ALWAYS end up disappointed in the end, just saying... If you like to dress a certain way, speak a certain way, walk like this and etc, I say, embrace it, don't hate it. You shouldn't ask for anyone's opinion of yourself. _________________________________________________________________ (Youtube) A friggin' video playground, 'nuff said, lol _________________________________________________________________ (Blackplanet.com) I like it so far... it's just, the IM can be a little bit better lol _________________________________________________________________ (the term, "hater" and "dick-rider" It would seem in today's society, you can't voice your opinion without getting called one or the other. In my personal opinion, if you feel the need to call me one or the other without fully understanding where I'm coming from, you're a lemming in my eyes and therefore, I don't need to flex my intelligence to you. _________________________________________________________________ (Stereotypical people) If you didn't bother to get to know the person before placing your opinion of them because of word of mouth, you are a big fool... _________________________________________________________________ (Black woman) I LOVE YA'LL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't stress that enough lol _________________________________________________________________ (Interracial dating) If a person loves you for who you are and not what you look like, that's all thumbs up for me in my book. Race shouldn't be a factor in what you're looking for in love because love is truly blind. If you have a bond with that person and that person loves and respect you the same way, that's all good in my book. Personally, I love my sistah's to death, but that's just my preference, I don't know what everyone are, I can only speak on myself but if you feel a love connection going on and that other person feels the same about you, I say go for it and that goes for homosexual dating as well. Now if the person doesn't feel that way about you, don't go bat-shit crazy. Just respect their view and move along, there's billions and billions of people on this planet, you'll find your other one day, keep your head up _________________________________________________________________ That's about it I wanted to speak on this evening lol, hope to speak to everyone again soon. I plan on making video blogs on day so I'll be sure to let everyone know. Until then, God Bless Pe@cE

Music Digging Ch.1

Posted

First Blog in a long long time, since well... BP just added this. But the topic is for all the music lovers and searchers of good soul/mellow songs.

As you know, there's a rumor (not proven fact) that Hip-Hop is Dead, well technically it's not because music never dies, neither does the genre, it's just taking a form/direction that a lot of people are disagreeing with, as for me, good music is good music, like this old school group. Arrested Development: I was born on Nov. 26, 1987, and this particular group came out around the greatest decade of all time, in my personal opinion, the 90's... This group had soul, engulfing their music in the means of togetherness and enpowering messages. There's a lot of other artists who receives the spotlight but in the same breath, while that goes on, it's very easy to overlook that diamond in the rough. Arrested Development has made timeless classics while at the same times, makes you wonder on a lot of topics. For instance, songs like:

Tennessee: This song is based on someone whose been through the worst and followed God's will. Although he doesn't understand it, he goes with the flow and tries his hardest not to let it bring him down, and if you haven't noticed, God's Will lead him to Tennessee, or in his words, "Took me out the country and into more country." Also, within the song, he goes to say, "God, I know you are superior to me, we talk to each other in a friendship way," and that touched me deeply because I thought I was the only one who did that but then I later realized that, if I like or do something, there's a remotely high possibility that someone in this world will do it to and that, my readers, is one of the reasons why this song should be heard to the world. and then, there's:

Mr. Wendal: This song is about a homeless guy (yeah I said it, HOMELESS) and how you can find some great knowledge from a place where you least expected. It opened my eyes further than normal (no pun intended because my eyes are slanted) to world around me like, damn, why can't more people think this way. The moral to this song is to show people that, it doesn't matter what class or situation that person is, that doesn't make them less human, and yes in their words, "We are human by flesh, not by Law."

As a hardcore music lover, I would encourage you to check out this group. If you love Hip-Hop Soul, then you won't be disappointed. Until then, Pe@ce and God Bless.
